Okay, so, I've been thinking about this a lot. The City's great! And, I didn't really get involved with the whole, you know, fighting thing? With the deities and the anonymous guys.

But the whole idea of leaving kinda makes me- well, I don't like it. Because, you know, I'm dead in my home world. Worlds, whatever. So, I paid attention to that, uh, whatever they were. There was another talking dog not like I haven't had enough of those- Anyway.

And, maybe another world wouldn't be so bad.

Not to say that I won't miss anyone back home, but most of the guys're dead too. And, City life's been really great! I've always said how great it was, but, well, maybe going to another world wouldn't be so bad if I had someone to go with? So.

Maybe I need some help deciding where that is.

[He turns on his device, sounding excited when he speaks, and after his face backs up to a more normal view, it's clear that he's near the fountain.]

Hey, you guys! Who's here, huh? There's gotta be some people that I know, right? I just know it! So come on! I'll be near the fountain- And, uh, maybe I should play my sitar? You know, in case people have trouble finding me?

[A slight pause.]

Yeah, okay, I'll go do that. Just- remember; by the fountain! Okay.

[Scene: The City beach. Enter, stage right: A hooded figure, holding a strange blue instrument. The figure looks back and forth a few times before throwing its hood back, revealing a perhaps familiar blonde with an odd hairstyle. He grins widely.]

No way! The City?

[He strums a few notes on his sitar and a few columns of water shoot up, Demyx seemingly riding on the top a couple of feet along the shoreline.]

Woo! Yeah, come on! Ah- hey, network device. Cool, the same one I used to have.

[He bends down to the video feed, waving.]

Hey, City. Remember me? I’m Demyx. Anyone here that I remember? Curt? Stephan? Campbell? Neil? Reno? Hanna? Machi? Megumi? Misao? Carl?

Su Anyone from the Organization?

Well, I’ll find you guys, huh? Dance, water, dance!

[He plays his instrument some more, and there appear about a dozen or so replicas of himself formed out of water, and they woosh off with a wave of his hand. The feed ends.]

No, really, how am I supposed to walk in these? Is this one of those curses where someone has my boots? Because I'm totally willing to give these back to whoever owns them! Ugh, they're so tight.

The weather's really getting nicer now, it's great! It's just kinda too bad that we can't really enjoy it. I mean, we've got a concert tonight, and swimming's great and everything, but it'd be really cool if we could do practice outside! We've only got the indoor one, though, and man, we need to practice a lot more before next week. Maybe I'll call off the one on Tuesday, we'll be running long the two right before the meet, anyway.

But all that isn't so bad. That's all dealable. It's just the tests! We have 'em all year, along with homework, quizzes, and projects, and now we need them at the end of the semester too? It sucks! Every year it's the same thing. Why do we keep having finals every time? The first couple of years is enough. I'm almost done with school forever, I don't need more tests! It's not like this last session is really gonna make that big of a difference! Just let me go, I know what I've gotta know for my degree.

Well, the not-boring stuff. [Siiiiiiiiigh.] I'm gonna go study.

[The video is a little shaky when it turns on, and there's the sound of scrambling. It is made evident why, when the feed shows Demyx standing on the edge of the fountain, having been cornered there by what appears to be . . . some sort of blue-headed bird and a yellow dog? Well, they do seem to be staring at him pretty intently.]

Oh man, oh man, not again! Come on, I haven't been on a mission in months! What do you guys want?

[Siiiiigh, mumble.] I know what you're thinking, but I'm not getting killed by you two again. [Then, at a much more normal tone.]

Hey, so, uh. I don't normally ask for help like this, but I'm kind of stuck? I don't wanna use my water or my sitar, because, well, it didn't really work out so well last time. S'how I got here. [The dog suddenly starts growling will ill intent, and barking.]

Aw, geez! Hey, Sora, take care of the bird and the dog! You get along with them right? [The blue head lowers, menacingly, and it snaps its beak at Demyx a few times.] Help!

[Demyx's face appears way too close to the camera screen, and as he steps back, his face is contorted into the biggest pout he's had in a while, especially considering that he's playing little short phrases on his sitar.]

I lost my powers again! I'm playing my sitar, and nothing. I don't know if the curse just made me lose them, or if I got switched again. Uh. If there's anyone out there that can do stuff with water, tell me! And I'll show you how to control it. And, I have a craving for ice, I think?

Oh man, I can't even portal! I hate this curse. [Large pout, and he turns the video feed off.]

[Demyx is out and about in the Square today. If you happen upon him, he may be walking, or playing on his sitar. However, as he does, he seems to be muttering something. If you go closer, you realize that every step he takes, he says,] One, two, three, f- one, two, three, f- [When he tires of walking around like this; sporadically, he does the same thing with the playing of his sitar. He strums, and plays chords in this same stagnant way. He tries to play a song, but he can't get it out, and he gives up.]

Hey, uh, is there some other holiday tradition in February for leap years or something? Because- I mean, well, from what I've heard people asking me today, it's kind of reminding me of that curse. With, you know. The mistletoe. Except, uh. Not with kissing. With sex.

Not that people're having sex all over the City like with the kissing, but. People have been talking to me about it a lot? It's really weird, but if this is normal, then I guess I just haven't heard of it before.
