[He's categorically incapable of not complaining about curses, so when the video turns on, he's already looking displeased.]

I vaguely wonder the purpose for events like these. Some of you seem to have found long-lost friends from home, and I suppose that's pleasant enough, for the duration of the... curse. Regardless, it's not as though any of your visitors will be staying after the weekend is over. Isn't it simply more frustrating to see guests from home and remember that you yourself aren't where you should be?

[Pessimist? Never.]

However, I do feel obligated to mention that if you're visiting, and you have any sort of association with me whatsoever, it couldn't do any great harm to contact me. After all, you'll all be gone once the weekend is over, and things will be back to normal. Relatively so, at least.

Three days is long for one of these.

Hope you're not all here to stay.

[ooc; no other frankie daltons but otherwise, whatever, go nuts.]

I've been convinced for a pretty long time that these weekends have a positive side, that the opportunity to see some familiar faces, even if it's just for a couple of days, is worth all the chaos. Which isn't to say that having someone here and then having them taken away so soon, a reminder of what we're missing here, isn't a cruelty... but knowing that something will end, even soon, can never negate the time that we are given.

[ Hey, he gets to see his future dead girlfriend. It's complicated, but it makes him happy in a bizarre, bittersweet, temporal-distortion kind of way. ]

[action options]

[ During the weekend, you may run into Wilson at a few places in the City. It's been a difficult couple of months, and even though their new "regime" seemed eager to celebrate, the effects of the entire ordeal are still weighing on him. But there's no shortage of things to be done, attempts at routine to be made as he tries to reclaim the impossible existence that's slowly and alarmingly become his new baseline for normal.

During the day on Friday, you may find him in or around the hospital, where he's still putting in his hours as they continue to work on getting things running back at their usual pace after the recent battles in the City.

Early on Saturday, he makes a trip to the square in spite of the crowds, perusing some of the shops in the immediate area, including a small cafe he's taken a liking to over the years here.

And if you just so happen to be a certain future dead girlfriend, then of course you can just show up when you please - whenever you do, he's making a stab at best date night that can be managed with the current state of some of the City. ]

Hi. I'm accepting visitors, but I do expect something in return for my time, of course. I'm sure everyone can agree that anyone's time is valuable.

So, I accept ice cream, candy, and toys of all kinds - except educational, because those aren't toys.

Thanks.

[ooc: Backdating this to Friday, open throughout the weekend. Long holiday weekend = pretending to be a responsible adult, boo.]

I won't pretend to be surprised. Lot of people I've known have shown up already.

But. [ She's quiet for a long moment. ] There are a few who haven't arrived yet. Mother - are you out there?

[ ooc: Fourth wall post! Please don't spoil Lin for the end of S1, but otherwise anything goes. ]

It is good to have so many guests here. What a gift after the last month, wouldn't you agree? Enjoy the time with your loved ones for that reason. This really should just be a celebration.

[He pauses a moment before continuing.]

Hopefully it isn't just the eye of the storm.

[Such a lovely day in the fair City- now that all the fighting is done for the moment and there aren't any riots and whatnot. Inigo has the camera rolling while he wanders through the square, as cheerful and peppy as always!!!! OBVS.]

Now, remember, ladies, there's plenty of me to go around. Please don't be shy! I will welcome you with open arms and a full heart.

[ooc; Anything goes. Have at him.]

Thought you'd be gone by now. Guess not.

Seeing as the lady of the house is back, I think I'll take my leave.

So long.

[ooc: Cryptic, I know. Here's what it means: Cowboy thought the 4th Wall visitors would be gone by now, but they aren't. However, Uhura seems to be back and perhaps for keeps. She charged him with looking out for the Welcome Center and then disappeared for a bit. He kept on watching the place. But, since she seems to be back, he'll just...take a ride out beyond the City limits for a while. To avoid the crowds, really. However!!! You are welcome to encounter him in the streets, outside the City, on the edges of town, or on the Network. He'll have his horse with him or even be riding it. So he's easy to spot. So come and 4th Wall him! Please?]

While you're here, please try to conduct yourself appropriately. If something is illegal in your world, it's likely frowned upon in the City; don't do it.

The police are still here and working in spite of the recent revolution. We can be contacted via the network in the event of an emergency.

[Now that business is out of the way:]

I'll be checking my messages all weekend, if there's anyone I know here.

[ooc: Backdated to whenever-o'-clock this weekend and open to backtags for the rest of forever! Anything goes. ...Except killing. No killing.]

I thought the deities were overthrown from what I've heard? I see no difference other than some random circus in town - which is never good. And the flood of people from our home worlds is just another usual curse. Some "rebellion."

[He shakes his head, smirking]

Oh, speaking of that curse - If anyone has shown up from my world, do stop by. I may have just been there myself but... it's always good to see familiar faces.

[The (Second) Doctor is walking in the square idly trying to play a tune on his recorder. He doesn't seem to be pleased with his progress.]

If I didn't know better I'd swear this was out of tune.

[Looks around.]

Oh my, quite a lot of people about today. Many new faces. I wonder what's the occasion.
