I made a list. It's called Things Cripples Shouldn't Do. It's publishing date is pending because it's a long, long, long, long, [sigh] long list I have. Some of it may seem redundant but specifics are always necessary.

A great deal of ninjitsu is the new item.

Why am I telling you this? You should know. This may be beneficial to your life. I might even get a thank you out of it someday.

It's a bit ominous, isn't it, a carnival coming to town this close to the start of October? We've had our good Octobers and our bad Octobers--or, well, perhaps I ought to say our bad Octobers and our worse Octobers. I don't recall the first one I spent here as being so very bad, really, but it was quite some time ago and before I really knew much of anything about the City, so it might've been that everything still seemed so frightening then that I didn't really know any better.

But it's what comes to mind most every year at this time of year, by now. The leaves change colors and the air gets cooler and the days get shorter and shorter, and sometimes it seems as though it's just old habit to spend the month of September, well...getting ready to endure October.

We've had carnivals before, too, and...well. I've nothing against harmless fun, if it really is harmless in the first place.

But I don't think we've had an October before without the deities, have we? I wonder, then. I'm sure it's not too much to hope that this one might go quietly for a change, but just the same, it's only sensible to be better safe than sorry, too.

[ While the carnival might ping every 'bad idea' instinct that Lucy has, she's going to put those aside (for better or worse) to have fun. It's not often that they get a carnival here, much less one that travels. She's curious and it reminds her of simpler times back home going to the state fair in Alabama.

She can be found wandering along the rows of games and food stalls, hopping on and off rides. She's going to take advantage of the fair food and see about winning a stuffed animal or two, maybe even a fish.

Feel free to join her in eating far too much fried food, losing terribly at games that are fixed and riding on rides until she's a bit ill. ]

[Who can resist a carnival especially at night? Certainly not the Doctor who appears on screen apparently eating what looks like cotton candy. He thinks it’s all brilliant as he walks by some rides, people screaming in fun with their hands up in the air. There’s nothing odd about this at all. There’s a curious part of him that wonders if with all this activity if Alonso is around.

He appears distracted stopping by a haunted house and peering at the entrance, which resembles a black and white hypnosis circle. It’s enough to make a normal person dizzy.]

Alonsooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo?

There are a lot of great donuts out there.

Jelly.
Glazed.
Cream-filled.
Crullers.
Long Johns.
Fritters.

But nothing beats a topping of bacon and maple syrup. Bacon donuts are the Cadillacs of donuts. Bless this fucking donut.
