( Private to Lucifer. )

Perhaps I should apologize? I seem to have upset your brother. To be fair, he did deserve it.

( / )

( Alexiel is dressed casually today. She seems to have developed a penchant for mortal clothing, though anyone who points her recent interest out will be met with a chilling stare, no doubt. She sees no harm in looking well. It isn't often that she gets the chance to simply enjoy herself. )

I wonder what flavor I would have been? ( Looking thoughtful, she runs her tongue over the tips of her fingers - one at a time. ) It's hard to tell.

Has everyone re-solidified? ( She smirks faintly. If they haven't, they won't be answering. ) What a strange curse. I can't imagine what they gained from it.

( Her eyes fix on a point in the distance - the clock tower. )

Is the real aim to drive us into insanity?

It would appear that time is a more delicate entity than belief would have it.

[ Her voice is curious, if cautious. The sounds you would hear for someone being outside are audible - sounds of the forest, to be specific. Helen isn't quite certain as to how she arrived here - could Adam's portal's stretch so far? She didn't know, and she wasn't prepared to pose the question with more unknowns than that around ]

We're often told to be careful with it, for it may simply just pass. [ And doesn't she know it ] But what about when it stops?

[ Helen's speaking more to simple fill the gap until she's certain she's ready to ask something - and she knows what to ask, although she's hoping to see something other than this forest first (or that may become the question) ]

Or paused. Doing that may sound difficult in of itself but how would you restart it? One would hope so, lest everything cease. [ And she's seen that before, and it didn't go with time stopping.

But there. There it is. The edge of the forest and... something else indeed ]

Thankfully in this case it would seem that all is well, or at least that time is moving. [ All is not well when you're not where you should be ] But when? I'll forgo the where, [ For now. If you hadn't learned that she was new by her unfamiliar voice than this was your cue ] and settle for when. What year is this? [ It's important when you've extensively travelled ]

[So, Sif has had the device figured out for a while now, but she's been too busy being stubbornly independent and also camping out in the forest with Thor because rent, what is that; Aesir don't pay rent. But she's had about enough after almost a week of hunting and fishing and sleeping on grass. She's a lady, too.

So, she uses the device to broadcast to whomever gets the message - everyone, as it turns out.]

My greetings, people of this strange land. I am the Lady Sif, of Asgard.

[From somewhere behind her, further into the forest, come the sounds of a serious struggle, a fight between beast and man. She continues nonpulsed.]

Though the forest here offers plenty of sustenance, there comes a time when sleeping under the stars is less reminiscent of youth's days long past, and more closely resembling an unnecessary sacrifice.

[She's making an effort to ignore the sounds of wrestling behind them, still.] I would be grateful for any information on what one needs to do for a warm bed and a warm meal in this place. There is no need to specify the rest - I know that you call this the City, a helpful mortal told me, just as he told me there was no way out. [A beat; she almost looks displeased there, but she's walked it off.]

If we must linger here until we find our exit, then I would not have us do it in the wild. We are civilized. [A wild roar interrupts, follows by laughter. Sif sighs.] Now excuse me, for I must go and finish off dinner.

[ooc; If you've guessed that it's Thor wrestling a bear somewhere, it's because he is. He is wrestling the bear, for salmon. (Permisson from player, et all.) Anyway - give some Aesir a loving home, City? (Loki need not apply.)]
