This weekend has been fascinating, to say the least. While I'm well aware that most -- perhaps all -- of our current visitors will be returning to their respective worlds soon, I can't help but question the purpose of such an event.

[There's a pause.]

Why is it necessary to bring "guests" here, then immediately get rid of them? Is it simply an attempt at irritation? The potential opportunity for people who have missed each other to see each other once again, only to be parted? I'm well aware that the "deities" often have ill-conceived plans, but this particular turn of events strikes me as inherently pointless.

[Theo looks more than a bit tired. He manages a brief smile.]

There was a litter of kittens that came through over the weekend. And I'm fairly certain one of them was more than a bit destructive.

[Damn thing ate stuff.]

If there was any damage or lost items, let me know and I'll pay you back for them.

[Someone is leaning on a bar at She'ol, Nathan's club. It's before opening hours, so the lights are still on and some more or less - mostly less - dressed people can be seen walking by in the background.]

With crazy weekend over, guess we finally know who's actually here to stay again.

Setsuna, if you want to buy me a book, don't get one with half-naked men on the cover. It doesn't generally contain any classic literature. If you want to purchase something with nudity for me, I'd really go with a magazine.

Not that I need that, seeing how I work at a strip club. This goes out to everyone: Come by some time! First lap-dance is on the house.

[locked to Setsuna, Alexiel and Katou]

We're moving. Hatter's house. Mansion. Whatever. Start packing.

Doctor Emmett L. "Doc" Brown
[Doc has been so absorbed in what he's working on, he hasn't even noticed that it's one of these weekends again. This is, in fact, the first that he's emerged - and he's so excited, he hasn't filtered this at all.]

Chekov! I do believe I have the final adjustments made on the rebuilt circuits, if you should happen to be up for a test run by any chance. I must confess, I'm quite eager to see if it will truly take flight again. I had all but written that particular modification off as a loss entirely.

If it does work again, well -- I may be getting a bit ahead of myself here, but I'm certain it could prove to be invaluable in handling any number of the situations the City is so very fond of throwing at us.

[And he's off, pulling the DeLorean out of the workshop… and into the still-crowded streets of the City.]

[ooc: I got sidelined by a HUGE case of eyestrain-induced migraine last night, so I didn't get a chance to get this up then. Please accept my apology along with this offering of one severely backdated fourth wall post and have at it.]
