Good morning, fine City. I suspect our snow will begin to melt soon, considering that no more has fallen in the last several days.

There are quite a few...newcomers today. Welcome, one and all, I suppose. Hopefully you enjoy your stay, however brief it may be, and do please try to avoid the Underground if at all possible.

Dr. Banner - Bruce - any information on how long these guests will remain? Is this a common event?

For those who are not newly arrived from outside worlds, I have a request. Many of your are familiar with Luke; several of you may have met or spoke with Sean recently, or possibly confused Sean for Luke.

Should you happen to find a young man in an inebriated or altered state in, say, one's hedge or garden, fitting the description of either Sean or Luke I ask that I be contacted directly. If it happens to be Luke and not Sean - and do not worry, I am more than capable of telling the difference - I will ensure that he arrives home safe and sound.

[DEITY FILTER] I have a request.

-- Sure thing, ma'am.

[ Bucky's device is sitting in the hall of his apartment building where he put it ages ago. Of course these things seem to have a mind of their own so he doesn't really notice when it starts rolling. Because he's busy, shirt sleeves rolled up and a broom in his hands. His landlady's door is open and there's music drifting out but Bucky's more concerned with what he's doing. Of course he had to help her, you couldn't grow up in the era that he did and not.

Which is why he's sweeping away the remainder of the curse. He bends to pick up stuff as he goes, soaked phonebooks and catelogues that have been waiting for their owner, the front of his shirt stained with water but he doesn't really care. Of course when he moves to toss the stuff in his waiting garbage can he spots his device, lifts it up.

His grin is crooked and wide though, as though all of this makes him feel good. Maybe it does.
] Glad to see the City ain't trying to be Atlantis anymore. [ Leaning against the handle of the broom now. ] We'll get it back to normal soon.

[ Which is Bucky speak for help the old ladies, City. You better or he'll judge you. With his fists. ]

The city is full of new and strange visitors, a rather influx of them.

And here are seven more:

A mother cat and her six kittens are rambling about the city. While this normally may not be anything of note, this cat and her kittens are special.

See, they teleport.

That's right.

Teleport.

So, that sandwich you were about to eat? Now has a kitten on it.

Is that a mewing you hear in your purse? Yes, because there is now a kitten in it.

What's that under your hat? A kitten? Yup.

And is that grey kitten eating a plate? Like chewing it and swallowing the pieces? And then starting on the tablecloth? Yup.

At least all the kittens are friendly and momma cat is around to rescue them if they get into too much trouble.

((Fourth Wall ahoy! Here's the kittens and their quirks. Request one in particular or just get one at random. All replies will becoming from [personal profile] bamfingcats. If you're really desperate you can ask for their owner to show up and rescue you them and he'll be along.))
