Setsuna Mudou
15 December 2012 @ 05:39 am
[Setsuna has been mostly staying at Diva's place with Saya, but he still goes to both jobs, so it's not like he's never around. Currently, he's at the zoo, but he might be seen alone, standing there, talking to either himself, or someone invisible.]

I think I want ice cream after this. We can get a cone and split it. [A teasing, playful tone, a brilliant smile, and he's looking at this invisible person like they're the most important person in the world. If you peer closely enough, you'll see a gold ring on his ring finger, not something he normally wears.]

What do you mean that's unhygienic? ...oh, alright. I'll get two. [He smiles as he says that, though, like it's really not the big deal he's making it to be. Everything's better right that moment.]

[ooc: His vision is his time spent with Sara at the amusement park in canon. And he does not want to leave. Anyone is free to argue with him over it. Your character will probably just get mistaken for some passerby at the amusement park and blown off. Or, your character can attempt to remove the ring. He might get upset over that, it might be a success. He might be very angry (or sad) when it's all done. Just a warning, since that's one of his happier memories.

Or, option B, consider this an accidental video post and comment to him. He'll just be very confused by the voices from nowhere.]

Meyer Lansky

[The feed clicks on, first showing Meyer's shoes, then panning up, showing a sensible brown suit, a crisp tie, and a far too serious expression for someone as young as this man appears to be.]

The way I see it, I've been kidnapped.

[He doesn't sound particularly perturbed about it.]

Perhaps this is something that is better discussed in person. I'm certainly willing and able to make a generous offer in exchange for my freedom, if my captors are reasonable men. If not, I'm afraid we'll have to go about this a different way.

[There's a long pause.]

I would appreciate a quick response to my inquiry. I think it'll be better for all of us if this goes as painlessly as possible.

Princess Rosella of Daventry
15 December 2012 @ 02:14 pm
My goodness, what a busy month it's been--and not just because Christmas is coming, either. We've had months like this before, you know, where it seems as though every day is another curse and there's barely time to breathe for a moment in between. But December is always one of the rather odd months, just like October and May are always a bit awful and August tends to be...well, it has its moments, too.

I must say, though, all those geese the other day were certainly more bad-tempered than Genesta's hen back home. It laid golden eggs, too, and I had to go get it back from an ogre. Ugh, and what an awful moment it was, too, when I was almost out the door and then suddenly it squawked and the ogre woke up from it! Goodness, I don't think I've ever run so fast in my life. But the hen was just scared, I think, and the geese from the other day were just outright troublesome, biting at things and battering at people with their wings.

There's a bird that lays golden eggs in Daventry, too, but I've never seen it myself. I only know it used to nest in my favorite climbing tree, because Daddy once found a golden egg there himself.

But it seems they're all gone now, and today it's something else again. I wonder if it'll be like this the whole month, or if we'll have a respite for Christmas? It's odd, really, how sometimes the curses can seem like one terrible ordeal after another, but others it's almost as though they're a nuisance to contend with. But I suppose that's a matter of how many of them one has seen, really, and how much time one has had to get used to how they come.

Even so, I think there's one out today, but I'm not certain what it is, so I suppose I'll leave my errands for tomorrow and spend today sewing, instead. There's, er, something I need to get done in the little time I have left to do it, and goodness knows I certainly wouldn't be the first princess who whiled her time away that way, anyway.

Bobby Lassiter
15 December 2012 @ 05:25 pm
[The video opens near the town square. Every surface is dusted with a thin layer of early December snow. Most people are trudging around it, hoods down against the cold.

Until one small figure scrambles into shot, collecting handfuls of snow in small, bare hands. A child of maybe seven or eight, dressed in knickerbockers and a knitted sweater, anachronistic against the stark modern backdrop of the fountain, is working hard to create one snowball from the meager snowfall. The child obviously isn't dressed for the cold and shivers now and again, but doesn't seem to mind. The snow is obviously much more exciting and worth working through the cold for. Someone comes to closer and they speak for a while, out of range of the device's speaker, but the child makes a mad dash when the woman tries to hold out a hand to hold.

Which results in the discovery of the device.

A small freckled face comes in very close to the lens, inspecting it with calm and careful interest.]

Does everyone speak to these things in this place? I don't know why they would do that I don't think they talk back. See, my name is Bobby Lassiter and I think my magic brought me here. But I wish I hadn't left Rosie behind. Now I'm going to look silly because I just talked to a box.

[The child makes a high pitched noise, almost a scream and almost a whiny before cantering around in a circle and flopping onto a snowbank.]

See? Now I look crazy AND silly and I will get sent to the loony bin and no one will ever see me again.

[The video feed ends with a fit of giggles.]

[Charlie doesn't even look bothered by what she's about to do, even if she is going against everything she believes in. However, she was doing this for someone she loves. So she regrets nothing.]

Hi. I'd like to discuss a trade, please.

Jack ❝ Wynand ❞ (Ryan)

[At first, the only sound is a loud, heavy breathing. Then comes a deep, low groan, a huffed breath, and the noises of someone quickly fumbling with the device before it shuts off entirely.

A few minutes later, a text post appears on the network:]

Hello

This is the city right ?

Can someone please bring me a coat its very cold out here and i landed in the fountain again

Thank you

[Meanwhile, anyone passing by the fountain might notice a large man in a sweater and jeans ensemble — bruised, bloodied, and soaked head to foot — and trying to figure out what to do with what looks like pieces of an old-timey diving suit. Be careful about getting too close, though, as a thick, briny stench surrounds him.]

The curses of late have been rather entertaining, very seasonal. Though, I think today might have provided me with the most entertainment.

Memories of the past are quite a treasure, especially of time spent with the family.

I have to wonder how many would agree with that though.
