Nice watch for sale here, only two greens! Don't get ripped off at the stores-- quality goods for sale here!

[ The barker on the street corner exudes a confidence in sales well beyond many children his age. Armed only with a tattered briefcase packed with odds and ends (jewelry, scarves, cufflinks and other such personal effects), the boy can be found on the corner all weekend or on sporadic bits of video to the network showcasing items. Some passerbys might even find their pockets a little lighter. Actually, does that watch look familiar, or maybe something else being peddled out of the small suitcase? Perhaps it just bares a close resemblance... ]

Earrings and necklaces for pretty ladies. Sure to impress!

[There's a man wearing Anya's clothes. Who looks suspiciously like Anya. Who's fiddling with Anya's necklace and looks INCREDIBLY grumpy and displeased as he complains to nobody in particular.]

Oh, for God's sake, City...

[Yeah, Anya is pissed.]

You could've at least had the decency to give me different clothing...I think this fits even WORSE on a guy's body.

[Poor Pooka, who's just decided to dart on screen, is so confused right now, unsure if the man in Anya's clothes is Anya or not. Eventually, he decides, yes, is Anya, and jumps on her (his?) leg, demanding attention.
Anya smiles a little at Pooka, before picking him up and scratching his ears.]

Well, at least you recognize me. That's a plus, anyway.

[ The screen turns on to show nothing but an almost completely black room. If the viewer watches long enough, their eyes might adjust to see dull shapes of what could be furniture but it's hard to tell. Then something darker than the gloom, a black-on-black shadow, moves past the screen and a voice comes across. For some, it will be audible and some, perhaps not. ]

What a charming little city you all have here. So bright and colourful, so full of life.

[ A disembodied mouth appears against the blackness of the background, grinning a razor smile. It's followed shortly after by a pair of bright gold eyes, the voice low and amused and confident, ]

And yet like most things there is a touch of darkness to it. With that in mind I pose a riddle, for those of you who choose to play along: when is a captive not a captive and a cage not a cage?
