I don't care which house, which team, which trophy, whatever, that you cheer for, like, or who you kiss.

Make a mess at Puddifoots like the one I cleaned up this morning and die.

[ooc: he is a terminally cranky employee at...yes, at Puddifoots. Once a Gryffindor, but graduated a few years back]

A very wise wizard (who I believe may have been better suited to Ravenclaw) once said:

There is only one thing for it then — to learn. Learn why the world wags and what wags it. That is the only thing which the mind can never exhaust, never alienate, never be tortured by, never fear or distrust, and never dream of regretting. Learning is the only thing for you. Look what a lot of things there are to learn.

And of course there is plenty to learn, especially with the end of term exams coming up. I think, then, we should all take full advantage of the very last day which our teachers will accept as not being better spent nose down in a library book, get out to the quidditch pitch, and enjoy it.

Slytherin, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, we'll be glad to give you the opportunity to learn what it is to be soundly beaten.

Good luck, and fair play.

Private to Ravenclaw

We can do this. Our best arithmancers have been working for weeks on compiling all the other team's strengths and weaknesses, goals scored, snitches caught, bludgers hit and so on, and we've worked up strategies for taking advantage of all them. Courage, cunning and hard work can hardly be said to be exclusive to any one house, but tactics are going to win this one. And talent, of course. We've got that in spades.

Dean Winchester || Been to Hell and Back Again
[Some diligent student is studying in Hogwart's library, though whether this Dean Winchester is any more attentive to schoolwork than his regular self was at this age is uncertain. It's a good thing he has a good memory and can improvise well. That and he's notorious for protecting the younger kids from bullies and thus has all sorts of... unusual spells up his sleeve, thanks to his father, who is well-known for fighting evil.

He isn't on the Quidditch team, but he loves the game. Place your bets?

He's easily distracted, so give him a poke, if you like.

Oh, yes: and he's British now, complete with accent. I've no idea why. It just happened.]

For the love of Merlin, stop yapping about which House has the most wit and the most cunning, we've already covered that in the Sorting Ceremony months ago. In Quidditch, you show your worth through actions, not through words.

Not that there's a lot of action you can take after being knocked off the broom by a Bludger. You know how it is, the prouder they are, the easier they get taken out.

And besides. The saying goes 'there is no victory without risk'. It's not 'there is no victory until I tell my enemies I'm going to beat them and then laugh in their faces'.

[ooc; EVERYONE AND THEIR GRANDMA'S TALKING QUIDDITCH and you think that Gryffindor's Beater wouldn't do the same? 7th year, total babe, carry on.]

[Quidditch. Kori is pretty sure all the noise scared her in-coming delivery owl off, with 100 gallons of muggle clothes with it. She scoffs a handful of Bertie's every flavor beans into her mouth and chews slowly. Then, wryly:]

Noisy, isn't it?

[Seven years of this and everyone still gets so excited. She'll never get this Potions essay finished.]

Of course, the noise is all very needless, as Hufflepuff will conquer this year at last.

However - if anyone has seen a confused owl with a very large parcel, please let me know.

(ooc: 7th year Hufflepuff at ur service, doing potions homework. )
