[Sitting by the fountain is a thoroughly soaked young fellow, dripping water onto the screen of his communicator.]

Believe it or not, this isn't the first time I've woken up in a fountain. But it is the first time I've woken up in a fountain in another city, so I'm pretty sure I deserve a merit badge for that.

[He flashes the camera a winning-- and possibly irritating-- smile. There's just something really punchable about this guy.]

Someone want to tell me more about this place-- the City or whatever? [To his credit, Marty's done the bare minimum of asking a passer by where he is and what's going on. He knows that this is the City, but that's about it.] Preferably over a drink. On you.

Come on, it's only polite to get me drunk after kidnapping me.

[OOC: Dated to after the doggie curse!]

[ Clint is out wandering the streets, and he may or may not been tailing a certain someone, keeping them safe within his sights, bow concealed about him in case it's necessary.

The video feed doesn't start rolling until he rushes into the road to scoop up a dog that's about to get run down, the device dropping out of his pocket and setting going when the dog puts a paw on the wrong button.

Once he's given the dog a quick look over, Clint is grinning in a way he rarely does out in the open for just anyone to see, hands petting it all over and ruffling its hair, and he's speaking in a voice that is worthy of mocking.
]

You scared the crap out of me, yes you did. [ The dog cuts him off only long enough to slobber all over his face, which draws out an actual giggle. ] You're a good doggy, aren't you? Aren't you? Yes, you are. Here - [ He fishes out a dog treat from his pocket, something he sneaks Fury when Coulson isn't looking. ] - that better? 'Course it is.

[ OOC: Feel free to have anyone be in the area or find him later on, or even be the dog in question. Clint really loves dogs, okay? ]

[Private to Rapunzel:]

Hey. So. Toph is gone. I think that leaves us in charge. We might need to hire a few new people.

[Public: Audio;]

Toph Bei Fong has left the City. The Jasmine Dragon is under new management, now run by myself and Rapunzel.

[end audio.][Action;]

[Charlie's at The Jasmine Dragon, sorting through paperwork, running through schedules and doing inventory. Toph is gone and she has a lot to do. Feel free to stop in and help, though. She'd appreciate it.]

I for one am glad to see everyone return to their usual shape. Not that I doubt that most of the dogs were harmless, just...[Someone really could've lived without the inflation in dog population in the City...] It felt like a silly curse, as well as a confusing one, I imagine.

Not as confusing as going about randomly kissing people, but - uhm, yes. Well. Either way.

[A beat.] Oh, right, another thing! Doctor, I have - [She pulls out a hat.] - this for you, for letting me use the tools at the shop. It...felt a little bit like home.

And while we're on the subject, and most of you can answer in words and not barks - what did you used to do, in your world? I'm curious.

[ooc; She (was)is afraid of dogs :C]

[Out in one of the green parts of the City-- some small field in the park, some stretch of grass-- a device has been dropped. The camera catches a long stretch of brown-furred leg as the dropper jumps back, half-trips over his own feet, then stands at attention to stare at something offscreen.

After a moment, he crouches down, front legs splayed flat with his back still in the air, and barks softly. Something-- a stick-- sails through the air, and the big brown dog leaps up to catch it smartly in his mouth.]

C'mon! Bring it back!

[Someone calls from offscreen, the voice faint with distance. The dog drops the stick at his feet and sits primly, grinning. After a moment he lifts his head and swings it over his shoulder, a strangely un-doglike gesture. You come here.]

You're terrible at this,

[Calls the voice again. The dog barks; it sounds suspiciously like a laugh.]

[ooc; backdated to yesterday, please, because i am awful. Feel free to encounter him out and about, pretty much anywhere~ This post's title comes from here :3]

Hey, City! I have a few quick questions, if you don't mind answering them!

Do you know anything about how the barrier works? I remember a group getting passed it some time ago . . . but I can't remember how, or if it was even mentioned anywhere.

Also, the clock! Does anyone know how it works, why everyone can hear a ticking sound even if they're nowhere near it? I know it's louder when someone's alone, but nothing more than that.

Or anything about how this place works in general. Curses, getting pulled into the City, whatever.

Theories are great, too.
