SPITFIRE

[ cursed to yearn for the sky but at the same time bound to the ground by a trade. what a cruel thing to happen to an A-T rider. Spitfire's voice is practically shaking with emotion. he shouldn't be making any posts right now. ]

Haha, the sky has never seemed this distant before...

I thought that I had seen the bottom of the well before, but this... this is something else. A fate worse than that of Icarus.

[Neil lights a cigarette and blows the smoke lazily our his mouth and nose. It curls around his head. He's sitting at an open window, looking out at the City.]

So, reading the network tells me there's another fuckin' curse goin' on. D'you all think you're birds or something? Someone's gonna get hurt.

[He turns slightly, so his legs are hanging outside the window. He looks down.]

If I jump, will I fly?

[Not cursed, just wondering, but it looks alarming, anyway.]

[[OOC: Tagging will be slow. Reality is very busy right now... :)]]

So I need to get a couple of things covered.

Firstly I could use the money so here's the standard description of what I can do, if it'll help you, drop me a line.  Or Mercy if I don't reply because sometimes this thing-a-ma-gig doesn't work right and she's being a good sport.

I'm in the phone book back home as a Wizard.  So my general gig is finding lost items or people, paranormal investigations, consulting and advice.  I don't do love potions and if I could do endless purses I wouldn't be advertising.  I am not here for entertainment so if you've got a party, call a clown.  I'm goofy looking but not for cash.

Also, where's the best beer in town?  Some place low key if you don't mind.

I've bottled up a couple of extra parachute potions too if anyone wants to buy one. Take it down a hill and it's a little like moon walking which is fun.

Ivy I don't have much cash, but I could maybe make a picnic if you want to get together for lunch.  Let me know.

[The video flicks on to briefly show a red-haired man, or, at least, half of him. It’s difficult to pinpoint his actual age, if you pause the video and try. Pausing is, of course, necessary, because two seconds later, the video flips off again. It takes a little while but eventually, text goes up to accompany the brief video.]

It won’t erase. Which is so incredibly unhelpful that I can only assume it’s purposeful. I can’t say I was expecting to end up with one of these in my pocket so suddenly, either.

Someone else has just appeared and stepped directly in the fountain, which is daft, really. It’s not hard to miss. Although I expect someone very clearly stepping in it just now proves that it is rather hard to miss, in fact, and I may have fountain immunity. I wasn’t aware of that, but there you are.

The only important thing I can think of to ask, while we’re both here, whoever you are that’s reading this, is what the conditions of here are? I appreciate knowing when it’s somewhere new.

[ The screen flickers to life on the beautiful face of a young woman; green eyes peer out under immaculate make-up and waves of black hair veil one half of the view as she leans in to get a better look at the controls. The video option flickers to text, audio, then back to the initial picture as she cycles through.

A small smile quirks plum-dark lips, pleased with how useful the device is proving itself. ]

I guess that clears up what this is for. Sorry about that. [ Flipping her epic hair over a shoulder, she perches on the edge of a fountain with the noise of the city all around and offers a friendly smile. ] Hi! My name's Asami and I'm more than a little confused as to how I got here, but I'm hoping someone can explain that to me over this interesting little gizmo and clear things up. I'd really appreciate it.

[ The polite veneer fractures when her smile weakens, a result of missing her companions. ]

This doesn't look like any district of Republic City I've ever been to. If it's alright to do this, I'd like to leave a message for my friends. [ Savvy enough not to mention one is the Avatar (in case Equalist ears are listening!) Asami gives a Here-Goes sigh. ] I don't have a Satomobile on hand or I'd come looking for you. I'm going to turn this off now and take a look around, this miniature radio is coming with me. I'll keep it on.

Get back to me soon? Thanks.
