[The image on the screen is of the (Second) Doctor is wandering the underground. Every few minutes he thinks he hears something and looks over his shoulder.]

I wonder how the dickens I'm going to get out of this place. I can't even tell how long I've been down here. Leave it to me to get lost in a place like this. Oh well. I'd better make the best of it. Perhaps I should stop talking to myself. First sign of madness they say. Oh, I wish I had Jamie or Zoe here. Or Ben or Polly. I should find my way back to the surface and get back to the TARDIS. I don't think I like it down here much.

[Looks over his shoulder.]

Hello? Is someone calling me?

[Bumps against something.]

Oh, pardon me.

[Realizes he's bumped into a stand. Looks a little embarrassed before turning around quickly.]

Who is that? Who's whispering in my ear? Come out now! Show yourself!

[Doesn't see anyone. He's completely alone. Begins to rub his hands nervously.]

I wonder…could it be…them? Oh my giddy aunt. Perhaps I am going...no. It couldn't be them. This isn't how they would work. No, there is someone here, playing some kind of childish game. Well I won't be frightened! You'd better come out! I am not someone to be trifled with.

[Waits for a response. Gets silence.]

Well, that was never going to work was it? I wonder...

(ooc: The Second Doctor is cursed.)

[When he turns on his communicator, he eschews video and only posts voice, his tone sounding more than a little on edge.]

Given the recent... developments... the hours of operation at my casino, Lucky's, are going to change quite a bit. For better or for worse, we'll be following curfew. We'll open earlier in the day to compensate for it, although I don't know too many people who like to gamble in the mid-afternoon.

[A pause.]

That should have been obvious, but seeing what's been happening to people around the City, I thought I'd make it crystal clear, yes? I can't shake this feeling that everything we say, everything we do, there's somebody listening. It's...

[A longer pause, where it sounds like he's practically holding his breath.]

Did anyone hear that? I think someone's watching me.

[[OOC: Paranoia was never a large leap for this one to make, anyway. He's only slightly paranoid now, but will grow more so over the day. Have... fun?]]

[Theo's grinning a bit with mad cheerfulness.]

I've been doing some thinking over the past couple of weeks. Especially about the whole revolution.

Personally, I'm not convinced it's real.

Oh, I know, there's been the protests and the people running it. The deities have their panties in a twist.

And yet, I have to wonder. The leaders of the revolution promise that they can send us home. It's a tempting bait. They say they can give us our powers back to their full level, a very tempting bait for those of us that have them and have had them... blocked.

But it's really something that only the deities could be able to do, isn't it?

So, what if this is really just one horribly grand ploy to a. figure out who really would try and fight against them. b. find out who is really loyal to them, for whatever reason. c. get rid of those said troublemakers with the excuse of keeping law and order within the city.

I've seen it happen before.

I mean they've been spying on us the entire time anyway. They just wanted to have an excuse since they seem to like the idea that they've got a well run and reasonable city. Of course then again they can probably just kill us all and this is being done for their own sadistic amusement.

Maybe they'll do that anyway.

It wouldn't surprise me.

((Paranoia curse? Well, yes. Because there's nothing more fun than spreading your own paranoid ramblings to everyone else))

[ The screen flickers on to show the outside of Lucina's apartment building as she steps out. Her sword is drawn in plain view as she stands ready to battle, certain The Time Has Come.

It's the final boss battle.

She knows it. ]

Show yourselves! We must not prolong this battle any longer. I know you're out there. It must be the deities everyone has spoken of. First the kidnappings, and now, they're finally coming to end this.

[ She grits her teeth and stares at the screen of her device before a movement to her left startles her, causing her to drop it and let it roll on the ground. Her sword is instantly drawn in the direction of the noise as she tenses up, watching the copse of bushes closely. ]

So that's where you have chosen to hide. It's futile to continue when I can see your movements.

[ The bush shakes again before a beast of unfathomable might and fury comes out and stares up at her curiously. ]

-!! ...What sort of beast is this that you sent to attack me? Surely, they can't be serious about this...

﹙ooc: she is under the influence of the paranoia curse.﹚

[The screen comes on to reveal Rose wandering around the Xanadu. There's a sheet of paper in her hand, as she takes in her surroundings. Not far off ahead is the cherry tree.]

Don't see that every day.

[Her attention is drawn to the sheet of paper in her hand, as she studies the numbers.] Right then. Should be...

[She starts to walk but then suddenly stops tensing. Her head slowly turns left then right cautiously.]

Who's there? Come on now!

[Her focus is back on the tree and she starts to walk towards it.]

No use in hiding you know.

[Again she stops.]

This is getting ridiculous. It's not funny.

[She approaches the tree and looks behind it to find no one.]

Jasmine Dragon is closed until further notice because giant space worms decided it was a nummy treat and ate the whole god damn thing.

[...Charlie, do you even know how to be professional while under stress?]

[Private to friends.]

Check in. Right now. Where is everyone? Are you guys okay?

...I haven't been asked for by anyone unfamiliar, have I?

(ooc: so, charlie's paranoia comes in the form of feeling as though everyone she loves is in danger. and she's getting that 'oh shit the shop' sense but since she's in jail, she can't do a thing about it.)
