It's been about a week now, since the City came back together... and it really does seem like things are back to normal. I was afraid the bookstore would be ruined-- that the shelves might have cracked when they were all made of glass-- but it doesn't look like there was much damage.

I'm hoping that things will stay normal-- normal for the City, I mean-- for a while, so we can get back on track with the play! With everything falling apart and turning to sand, and then... well, of course we didn't get very far.

So, I'm happy to say we'll be holding another set of auditions for Like Clockwork this Friday-- anyone who couldn't make it the first time, please, come join us now! We still have plenty of roles to fill, and for anyone who's nervous about being on-stage, there's a lot to do behind the scenes, too!

We'll see you there.

[ooc; info post on the play is here, and the previous IC post about it is here~ We still need 2 male leads and 2 female leads. Tags when I get home, mostly. <3 TL;DR post coming this evening with more logistics!]

Gaius, are you--

What?

[Merlin freezes, hand slightly reached out as he had only just been pushing a door open, and blinks owlishly because this is certainly not how it's supposed to look after he left his room. No, there should be tables, and shelves with so many books and potions and ingredients, and Gaius's bed somewhere.

Not... a city? That doesn't look like anything he has ever seen.

His first thought is that it's magic of some kind, and he slowly steps back, warily, as he glances around.]

Erm... What just happened?

[He doesn't get to see quite so much, though, because his feet collide into some edge (it's what he gets for not looking in the direction he's walking) and then he's falling and--

--and then he's wet, because with a yelped "whoa" and a splash he falls into some body of water (the fountain, in fact).]

((OOC: Because apparently falling into the fountain is tradition and I couldn't possibly resist.))

Enterprise? Do you read?

[A curly-headed boy, almost certainly not out of his teens, frowns at the screen. His words are rendered somewhat incomprehensible by a thick Eastern European accent in spite of his obvious attempts to annunciate.]

Ensign Chekov to bridge. Uhura? Sulu? …Mr. Spock? Chekov to engineering. Mr. Scott, can you hear me? There may have been a... ah, a malfunction with the teleporter.

Can anyone hear me?

[He sighs and fiddles with something on his device. The video feed distorts momentarily before returning to normal. When the teenager speaks again, his tone is low and words less painstakingly produced as if he’s speaking himself.]

Ai, what is this? There shouldn’t be interference this far out from the magnetic anomaly. Eto piz`dets

[Somewhere in the Underground there's an angel sitting on a rock with his wings flared out behind him. The air around him seems to shimmer as if the entire area is burning hot and yet he doesn't even seem to notice that. He's too busy staring off at nothing with arms wrapped around his knees.

He's upset and it shows.

But then he sees the red light.]

GO AWAY! [The words are screamed right before he sends a blast of fire that ends the recording completely.]

[ooc: Michael just saw the arrival of Kira aka HIS BROTHER. He's rather upset. Anyone trying to get close will find the air so hot that they will get burned by it unless they're super special or something. After all, even really strong angels have been known to be burned by his flames in his canon.]
