--ome on, you piece of crap. [ Even if you don't know her, Leslie sounds more than a little stressed out. Her voice even sounds a bit tight but if anyone asks, she'll blame that on the whole suddenly in an unfamiliar fountain in an even more unfamiliar city thing.

She sighs and then there's just the chatter of the people near the fountain for a moment before she realizes she got her device to work. Finally. ] I really hope you guys can hear this because this is all the warning you're gonna get: when I find you, your asses are mine. [ Apparently she thinks this is only going to be heard by a couple very specific people. ] Kidnapping isn't cool, even if it's an attempt to cheer someone up. Especially then because, surprise, it doesn't work. In fact, it just kinda pisses them off.

[ There's a few moments of silence on Shay's end before she says anything. ]

Who the hell are you? [ Because that voice doesn't belong to anyone she knows. ]

My name is Natasha, I'm a concerned- well, for lack of better explanation- citizen. I'm assuming given your tone of voice and the initial sound of splashing water when you first broadcast, you've only recently arrived.

[She pauses.]

[ Despite the freaking out over being kidnapped, the emotional rawness left over from what just happened with Clarice and the fact that this chick could very possibly be lying (and could, in fact, be the one that brought her here), Shay manages to bite her tongue. Pissy responses won't get her very far, so she has to try to shove her emotions aside.

The City? That's seriously the best name you could come up with? [ Okay, maybe she won't play totally nice here. ]

...why would anyone set off fireworks that close to a house? [ Because she assumes "outside my window" literally means right outside on the lawn. ] No offense to you or your brothers but that's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.

Considering they made them inside the house while we were growing up, I'd say outside was a sight better.

[ And now that he's got trousers and shoes on, he switches to video, grin relatively large because Shay is here and he's not alone anymore and the ticking has been driving him mad. ]

[ The text freaks her out a little bit - how does this person know her name? - but then he switches over to video and the relief that rushes through her is overwhelming, to say the least. Not that she should be happy they were both magically kidnapped and are being held hostage (she's pieced that together from Natasha saying she's been here for five months) but she can't help it. ]

Kelly? What in the hell are you doing here? [ Congrats, Severide; this is the first smile Shay's managed since she found herself in the fountain. ]

Someone's actually already on their way to meet me. [ Not that she doesn't want Kelly to come, too, she just figures she should let him know. ] But it is so good to see your face.

Yeah, so I've heard. Add it to the list of things that are already irritating me about this place. [ At least there's one thing in the list of "Things to be Thankful For Here" now, though. ]

[ Kelly told her about this guy - Chase, she's pretty sure he said - but it doesn't mean seeing him and hearing that accent coming out of Casey's mouth makes it any less surprising. She at least tries to keep her face from showing that, even if it takes her a moment or two to stop reeling and actually say something. ]

No, no, they have. It was just a hopeful thing. Being kidnapped by people you know, even in really bad attempts at distracting you, is way better than being kidnapped by someone you don't know.

[ Shay's waiting on Natasha and Kelly at this point, so she's gotten a bit of a run-down on the city already. Thankfully. It makes her a little less paranoid and hesitant to talk to strangers, though she isn't completely unguarded. ]

What gave you the first clue? [ ...okay, maybe she's still a little snippy, so she gives the other woman a brief though apologetic smile. ] You new, too?
