Video/Action after the sun goes down

[There's a worried looking Tohru, at first.] Korra, Jinora, I really hope you both aren't out in this! I'll be home soon. [In fact, the scenery behind her isn't far from the apartment she shares with them.]

But this is awful! They look like they're suffering, falling apart. But they're attacking other people! Why?

[She hears a scream and stops, jaw tightening. A first for some - Tohru looks downright angry. Well, as angry as she can look. The device shuts off right then.]


[Action]

[And when she shuts off the device she uses her bag to smack the ghoul in front of her that was about to grab and bite someone else. Of course, this does nothing to really hinder the ghoul but make it turn to growl at Tohru.] I'm sorry, but I can't let you hurt anyone!



[ooc: Feel free to be the person she just saved (maybe they didn't even need the help), jump in and save her, or just try to talk sense to her over video.]

Tohru!

[Jinora saw the network post, grabbed her glider staff, and went out to find her flatmate. It looks like a ghoul found her first.]

Get away from my roommate!

[She takes a powerful swing at the monster with her staff.]

J-Jinora! [She's wide-eyed at first, but then impressed! She's so young, but Jinora can more than take care of herself, and others. And just came rushing in on the scene, too.]

Be careful! They're biting people! And the people don't look well after.

[Biting can't be a good thing. As an Airbender Jinora isn't usually one to attack things, but things that bite are probably an okay exception to that rule.

She nods in acknowledgement and sends another ghoul flying.]

Run home! I'll be behind you!

action;

[riceballfruit]

[Tohru shakes her head.] I'm staying here until you're ready! [It doesn't occur to her she might be in the way. She just can't turn away, not yet.]

Tohru, just run! [As much as Jinora adores you, Tohru, you are not helpful.] I promise I'll follow you!

Okay! [She turns then, eyes closed, hoping nothing happens to Jinora in that brief moment.]

[She pushes the remaining ghouls away with a wide, sweeping motion and turns to follow Tohru.

And stops in her tracks when she sees her father, eyes blank and skin pale and peeling.]

[Korra's managed to lose Mako and the others for now, but she knows it won't last long. They're going to come back to the apartment. She needs to make sure Tohru and Jinora are safe, and then she needs to lure them away. (What she's going to do after that, she doesn't know, but right now she doesn't care.)

She busts inside the apartment.]

Jinora! Tohru!

We're here!

[Jinora runs to Korra and hugs her tightly. In a whisper so Tohru won't hear:] I saw Dad.

action; whaaaat?

[anatural]

[Korra almost crushes Jinora in her relief...and then in her terror. Tenzin too?!?!?!

She can't panic. She has to keep it together for Jinora.]

It's going to be okay, Jinora. I promise.

Not so tight!

[Jinora doesn't want to be smushed accidentally. She also gives Korra a look of disbelief.]

It won't be okay. Dad tried to bite me, Korra!

action; /suspicious

[anatural]

Listen to me. That wasn't Tenzin. [She has no way of knowing that, but right now, at this moment, she has to believe it because the alternative is too horrific to contemplate.]

This is some kind of curse. It'll be over by midnight. Just be careful until then.

[She lets go of Jinora so she can hurry into their room. Her current plan is to head towards the mountain; she'll need her heavier jacket and boots.]

[She darts after Korra.]

Korra, where are you going?

action; after this, jumping down below?

I'm going to lead them away from here. After I'm going, lock the doors and stay away from the windows. Naga will be right outside to take care of you guys.

Korra! [She looks wide-eyed, then slightly relieved.]

I was so worried! Are you alright? They're biting people. And all sorts of horrible things.

[anatural]

I'm fine. [She stops on her way to grab her jacket & boots and grabs Tohru's shoulders.] Are you okay?

action;

[Bright, reassuring smile.] Yes. This is my first time in something like this, but Jinora, and some other people helped me out.

[bookbending]

[Jinora's still a little shaken by seeing Tenzin and she's not happy with Korra's plan to go out and distract the monsters, but she tries to act normal. Normal-ish.]

You were doing really well, Tohru.

action;

[anatural]

I'm glad. [She goes into the bedroom and is out a minute later, dressed for mountain weather.]

Naga will be outside. If anything tries to get in, she'll take care of them. Hamlet! [The Great Dane trots over and nuzzles her hand.] You take care of anything that gets in, okay? I'm counting on you. [She leans down to kiss the dog's head.]

Why don't mind me

[She is tiny.

She is tiny and she just took out a ghoul with a bag.

And he isn't tiny (and also he's a werewolf).]

Get out of the way-

[He growls that because she may have just saved him (he didn't need saving) but now the ghoul is coming back and Derek feels a need to do something]

Not at all!

A-are you okay, sir?

[She does move, giving the ghoul a wide-eyed stare. It looks like she just made it angrier!]

[He doesn't say anything. The ghoul is moving towards them and Derek is having none of these shenanigans. He grabs it and throws it.

Like.

Across the street.]

Run.

Run!

[Across. Across the street. He through that thing across the street!]

O-okay! But be careful. They're biting people!

[Okay she's not running nearly fast enough, so he moves back and picks her up, and takes off with her and into the nearest building]

[That was also new. But she's relieved to be saved, and the person she ran into looks unharmed, too.]

You're very strong! I've seen one boy who broke a table in half, and people kicked out of doors, but not watched someone throw another person that far before!
