Video/Action after the sun goes down

[There's a worried looking Tohru, at first.] Korra, Jinora, I really hope you both aren't out in this! I'll be home soon. [In fact, the scenery behind her isn't far from the apartment she shares with them.]

But this is awful! They look like they're suffering, falling apart. But they're attacking other people! Why?

[She hears a scream and stops, jaw tightening. A first for some - Tohru looks downright angry. Well, as angry as she can look. The device shuts off right then.]


[Action]

[And when she shuts off the device she uses her bag to smack the ghoul in front of her that was about to grab and bite someone else. Of course, this does nothing to really hinder the ghoul but make it turn to growl at Tohru.] I'm sorry, but I can't let you hurt anyone!



[ooc: Feel free to be the person she just saved (maybe they didn't even need the help), jump in and save her, or just try to talk sense to her over video.]

[Okay she's not running nearly fast enough, so he moves back and picks her up, and takes off with her and into the nearest building]

[That was also new. But she's relieved to be saved, and the person she ran into looks unharmed, too.]

You're very strong! I've seen one boy who broke a table in half, and people kicked out of doors, but not watched someone throw another person that far before!

[He sets her down carefully and looks her over. She looks young, and small, and-

He shakes his head]

It's adrenaline. It makes people strong.

[Excuses, excuses]

Don't ever do something like that again. If you see one of those things, run, do you understand?

[He talks like someone who's used to being obeyed.]

I didn't know that! [But she can learn, even in this sort of event. Adrenaline! Maybe she could use it that way, too.]

I'm sorry.... I just couldn't only watch, or run. [She looks properly chastised, but makes no promises for the future.]

[lupusalpha]

[He manages to keep the growl down. She's not pack, but she's human, and he protects humans.]

You should protect yourself.

[riceballfruit]

[A sheepish smile.] I'm not very good at that. But I can try! [Especially if it will keep others from worrying over her, like now. His concern should be for himself, but here he is, having to take time out to lecture her.]

[lupusalpha]

[He scowls, his eyebrows making a heavy v]

Stay safe.

[riceballfruit]

[She gives him a fierce nod.] I'll head right home and do my best, Mister.

You'll be safe, too, right?

[lupusalpha]

I'll walk you home.

[riceballfruit]

A-are you sure? Shouldn't you get home as well?

[lupusalpha]

I'm sure.

[riceballfruit]

[Well, he could throw those things across a street, so maybe it'll be fine. And it wouldn't be bad to have that kind of company.]

Then I thank you, very much, sir.

Derek.

[riceballfruit]

Ah? That's your name? Mister Derek.

I'm Tohru Honda. [A quick bow, still finding time to be polite, even if there were monsters out there.] A pleasure to meet you.

[lupusalpha]

[His impressive eyebrows dip in confusion for a second]

You don't have to bow.

[riceballfruit]

I'm sorry.... Is bowing not acceptable where you're from?

[lupusalpha]

Just don't do it.

[riceballfruit]

Okay! I'm very sorry, Mister Derek! [Eek! She was offending him. Or upsetting him. She should've just agreed to it in the first place! Poor guy is stressed enough, likely, with those things coming after him.]

[lupusalpha]

[He doesn't reply to that. What would he say? He just walks and indicates for her to lead the way.]

[riceballfruit]

[Taking his cue, she goes quiet as well and starts to head to her apartment. Luckily, it's not much of a long walk from here. She was on her way home at the time of the post, after all.]

[The silence worries her, though. Maybe he's just the silent type?]
