017 [Video | Action]

[There is a blonde, little girl laying on her stomach on the floor. There are papers and crayons scattered all around her. The tip of her tongue is caught between her teeth as she works on a drawing. After a moment she looks up at the device and waves.]

Hullo. [She holds up her drawing. It's a very six year old drawing. There's something that appears to be a blue police box and two stick figures. One of them has hair that sticks straight up from his head. The other has no hair.] These are my Doctors and this is the TARDIS.

This Doctor [She points to the stick figure with the hair.] made me pancakes this mornin'. He flips 'em in the air and everythin'. I wanted 'em shaped like things so he made 'em shaped like the Medusa Cascade. The Medusa Cascade is shaped like this. [She puts her paper down, draws on it and holds it back up. It's a blob shape.] The Doctor says m'gonna go there when I'm bigger and grown up.

This Doctor [She points to the one without any hair] has never finger painted before so we're gonna fingerpaint today.

[It's the wings that tip her off.] Dulcie! You should come play. I bet you can have Medusa Cascade shaped pancakes and draw with me too!

[ The Doctor watches, amused, as she makes her post. ]

We'll have to put that up on the fridge, yeah?

[She looks up at him with a big grin and nods.]

With the ones he [Hand to her forehead, fingers straight up and wiggling.] did when he was little. Want to colour with me?

[ The Doctor snickers. Best description ever, as far as he was concerned. ] Good idea. I think you're a better artist, though.

[ Oh, teeny Rose, so charming. ] Oh, I don't know. You're doing a pretty good job on your own, there. Wouldn't want to throw you off with my drawing abilities.

[ Not really that much better than a six-year-old's, if he recalled correctly. At least, not in this body. ]

[She thought he'd like that. He'll be even happier that he doesn't have hair later when Rose is trying to braid the other Doctor's hair.]

S'okay. I won't make fun of your drawin's. You're gonna fingerpaint with us, yeah?

[Jenny looks up from her spot on the hammock. Who is this little girl and what is she doing here? Does her dads have another daughter? Are the moonlighting as babysitters? In any case, Jenny has never ever seen a person so small and little before. She must investigate!

She rolls out of the hammock to get lightly to her feet and plops down onto the floor next to the girl.] Hello! You're so small! What were you made for? Getting in tight places? Crawling under things? Sneak attacks into enemy camps? I like your drawings. Is that what you do? Draw?

[As far as curses go, it's one of the more fun ones Jenny could experience. Rose beams a smile at her. She hands her a red crayon. After a moment of thought, she hands over a pink crayon. She's been hogging the pink ones, Jenny so this is a big deal.]

You should colour with me. [She returns to her drawing as she answers Jenny's questions.] I was made to find the Doctor. M'just small today though. I'll be big again tomorrow. Probably.

[Give her a minute. The wheels are turning. Puzzle pieces are fitting together. And suddenly she realizes that this cute little person is Rose. How this is possible, she has no idea. She can imagine a lot of useful things being so small can make possible, but she can also see a list of ways it would be a hindrance.]

You're Rose Tyler! As in the Rose Tyler who lives here and I've seen and met before. This is amazing. [After taking the offered crayons she reaches out to touch Rose's nose, her chin, lift one of her little hands to inspect it.] How did you do this, make yourself a small little you?

[Rose beams a smile. She loves people who are interested in her drawing. She holds it up so he can see it, sort of to the side and starts with the TARDIS.] This is the TARDIS. She looks like a police box but she's a girl here but at home she's a police box and we get inside her--don't worry, there's lotsa room 'cause she's bigger on the inside. There's even a pool and a garden and a library and loads of rooms I've never ever even seen! And there's a console room [She's going to get to her feet and turn the camera out to show the flat that's painted like the console room]

looks like this 'cept it's got a control console in the center 'stead of a hammock bed.

[Plopping back down.] And we travel through time and space in the TARDIS. 'Cause the Doctor is a Time Lord and that's what he does. He's an alien, but not from the North. He just sounds like that. I'm not an alien. I'm a human that travels with him.

[Pointing to the stick figure without the hair] That's the Doctor I first met. He doesn't have hair and he's grumpy. He's also got big ears and a nose but you can't mention 'em. He gets more grumpy if you do. He's lots of fun and nice underneath all the grumpy and he's the first one that let me travel with him. I love him.

[Pointing to the stick figure with all the hair sticking straight up out of his head.] This is the second Doctor I met. It's the same guy but he sung to Daleks and died s'cept they don't die. They generate and so he generated into this guy with lots of pretty hair--I'm gonna try to get him to let me braid it later--He jumps around a lot. I don't think he knows how to sit still and he talks. A LOT. He doesn't sound like he's from the North. Not really anyway. Sometimes he does accents too, like he's from Scotland but m'not 'llowed to do a Scottish accent. He gets all frowny and 'no, no, don't do that'.

Luckily, Percy is very good at being a big brother, and has Epic Skills at looking extremely engaged and interested, like this is the most interesting thing ever.]

You certainly managed to fit a lot into one picture, didn't you? Did you say you traveled through time? Did you and your friend go anywhere interesting?

[She sort of disappears off the video for a moment. There's the sound of rustling papers and she puts one of them up to the screen to show Donna. It's a stick figure with long red hair. There's another stick figure of with yellow pigtails.]

[At some point, Rose escapes the Doctors and goes running amok around the City. That is when she sees Lockdown. She runs straight toward him with her hands out.]
