017 [Video | Action]

[There is a blonde, little girl laying on her stomach on the floor. There are papers and crayons scattered all around her. The tip of her tongue is caught between her teeth as she works on a drawing. After a moment she looks up at the device and waves.]

Hullo. [She holds up her drawing. It's a very six year old drawing. There's something that appears to be a blue police box and two stick figures. One of them has hair that sticks straight up from his head. The other has no hair.] These are my Doctors and this is the TARDIS.

This Doctor [She points to the stick figure with the hair.] made me pancakes this mornin'. He flips 'em in the air and everythin'. I wanted 'em shaped like things so he made 'em shaped like the Medusa Cascade. The Medusa Cascade is shaped like this. [She puts her paper down, draws on it and holds it back up. It's a blob shape.] The Doctor says m'gonna go there when I'm bigger and grown up.

This Doctor [She points to the one without any hair] has never finger painted before so we're gonna fingerpaint today.

[ooc; Rose is cursed to be tiny today. Replies will come from badpup]

[She looks up at him with a big grin and nods.]

With the ones he [Hand to her forehead, fingers straight up and wiggling.] did when he was little. Want to colour with me?

[ The Doctor snickers. Best description ever, as far as he was concerned. ] Good idea. I think you're a better artist, though.

[ Oh, teeny Rose, so charming. ] Oh, I don't know. You're doing a pretty good job on your own, there. Wouldn't want to throw you off with my drawing abilities.

[ Not really that much better than a six-year-old's, if he recalled correctly. At least, not in this body. ]

[She thought he'd like that. He'll be even happier that he doesn't have hair later when Rose is trying to braid the other Doctor's hair.]

S'okay. I won't make fun of your drawin's. You're gonna fingerpaint with us, yeah?

[leathered]

Well, all right. [ He doesn't need too much convincing. She's so cute in this form! So he settles himself down beside her and picks out a piece of paper to doodle on. ] I believe that's what you told everyone. Can't disappoint, can I?

[badpup]

[He gets a very big, toothy smile when he settles down next to her.]

Nuh huh. That'd be rude and the other you's the rude one. You're polite. [She reaches out to pat his shoulder when she says this]

[leathered]

Me, polite? [ He laughs. ] I'm going to remember that. Next time you get on me for being unkind, I'll have to remind you I'm the polite one.

[ What is the Doctor going to draw? The TARDIS, he supposes. It's hard to mess up a box shape. ]

[badpup]

There's a difference 'tween unkind and rude. He's rude. Have to get onto him all the time 'bout it. You just get...[She nibbles on her bottom lip as she's colouring, attempting to come up with the right word for what he gets.] You get lost and you forget that you're not in a war anymore.

[It's more blunt than she would be ordinarily.]

He doesn't get lost anymore 'cause I hold his hand.

[leathered]

You hold mine too.

[ He smiles quietly and holds up his picture to examine in the light. ] What d'you think? Would the TARDIS like it?

[ It's sort of recognizable as the blue box. At least, it's box-like. ]

action;

[badpup]

Well Duh. You taught me 'bout hand holdin'. I just took a little while to get good at it and you were good at gettin' lost.

[She looks up at the picture and smiles at it.] I think she'd love it. It looks like her.

action;

[leathered]

You're pretty good at getting lost yourself, you know. [ He grins. ] Little miss zeppelin-climber.

Might have to give it to her, then. [ And he tucks it to one side carefully. ]

action;

[badpup]

'Cause you need 'lookin'-for-rose' things to do. It's like hide and seek.

[Rose stands up and holds out her hand.]

Come on, let's go get the paints and start fingerpaintin'.

[leathered]

Is that it, huh?

[ He gets up and offers his hand to her. It's just like usually, except he has to reach down a bit further. ] All right. Little surprised we have fingerpaints. Where do you keep them?

action;

[badpup]

Yup. I keep you from gettin' bored. He says I'm a Grandmaster of Time Lord Entertainment.

[It really is. Rose is Rose and the Doctor is the Doctor, regardless of what they look like. His question does get a giggle out of her.]

I've been plannin' it. It's on my list. There's a big board we're gonna paint on too. He's hangin' it on the wall and the paints are in my room.
