[ The feed clicks on to a familiar sight. 'Li' being 'Li' -- placidly preoccupied with cooking. A spread of ingredients -- a slab of dough, grated vegetables, minced beef -- are in bowls on the kitchen counter. But it's apparent that the kitchen isn't his. It's too large, too well-appointed. But Li opens shelves, takes out pots and utensils, as if he's familiar with the setting. Moving to the fridge, he cracks it open to peer inside. ]

[ And scowls. ]

[ Pitching his voice to a yell -- ] You forgot the milk. Again [ -- he reaches inside to withdraw two eggs. ] One simple task. And she can't do that right...

[ Such a sweet-tempered hubby. Whatever dish he's making is surely filled with love. Halfway to the counter, he nearly trips over something lying on the floor. Glowering, he stoops to collect a child's colorful softball. ] ...It's like living in a damn toybox... [ Grumblegrumble. Hopefully he's not this charming all the time. (Spoiler: he is.) ]

[Ne turns to look at nir daughter confused by Setsuna's question.]

What about Yin?

[Well, at least he has a name - which he'll forget in a day - but that doesn't answer anything. He settles for reaching out to poke her. She'll stop him, right? RIGHT?]

[Are you real?]

[And ne's just going to reach over and smack Setsuna's hand for messing with nir child.]

Don't be rude Setsuna.

[Ne turns to the girl.]

Yin, why don't you and July go and set the table for mommy?

[He pulls his hand back after it gets smacked, but looks more stunned than anything else. But, but.... SO STILL.]

[Pouting, he watches, curiously, because he can't do much else.]

[He can pout all he wants, it won't do any good.]

I know they are different, but I would appreciate you not poking my children.

[Chil...dren.... WHAT?! Malfunction! Brain broken! Setsuna can't even do, or think, much after that, just stares at Hatter in horrified confusion. THEY LOOK NOTHING LIKE YOU! And They weren't Hatter's children yester-]

[Oh. Curse. They must be very cursed. Still, he's going to continue pouting, just until he gets some food.]

[How many angels (other than Rosiel and Alexiel) look alike and yet all have the same father? Not even the other set of twins Setsuna's acquainted with look anything alike.

As for the food, he'll just have to wait. For being mean to nir daughter ne won't even try and annoy Li into hurrying up now.]

[He would argue he wasn't mean to her! He was just curious. And he got smacked for it. That was more than enough! Besides, she doesn't seem annoyed by it ~~because she can't be~~.]

[But, yeah, okay. Point taken. Angels don't look alike, even when related. Doesn't change the fact two of these people weren't here yesterday, and Hatter doesn't have any children. Normally.]

[~~That's because ne can't normally unless cursed.~~

Ne'll forgive him later when protective mommy instincts aren't in overdrive. Ne will how ever be nice enough to pour Setsuna a glass of juice while he's waiting.]

[He peers curiously at the glass for a bit, then starts to drink it, rather quickly, too, like he's desperate. He can't say thank you - and he normally doesn't, anyway - but he does give Hatter a bright smile for it.]

[It's all forgotten, over some orange juice.]

{It's only when Hatter suggests she help that Yin moves at all. She looks towards July, then starts gathering the plates and silverware to set out.]

[Good girl. But don't let strange boys poke you darling until you are ready; your father would have a fit.]

[Unfortunately, she's not programmed to care. But somewhere underneath all of that apathy, she does appreciate that Hatter cares enough to step in.]

[Of course ne cares, parents are supposed to.]

[Parents might, but she's pretty sure that outside of Hei and Hatter, she's not accustomed to people caring about what happens to her. Not even she cares. It means something to her.]

[ Excuse you. ]

[ 'Li' pushes in between Setsuna and Yin, setting a tray of toast on the table with a decisive click. ]

[ His sweet smile says, ] The eggs will only take a minute. [ His eyes say: If you like your fingers, keep them on the table. ]

[Whoa, whoa! Body language, dude. Very obvious. Setsuna just looks wide-eyed at 'Li' for a moment, then realizes, well, yeah, daughter. He'd probably get smack dab between some weird guy trying to poke his, too. But it was just curiosity....]

[Still! TOAST! Fine. He'll eat his toast, happily.]

[ Yeah, that's right. Eat your toast. ]

[ He'll just situate himself between Setsuna and Yin once the table's set. Bad enough the two kids are around the same age. But apparently the boy can't keep his hands to himself. ]

[He eats it, happily, forgetting all about the strange girl. He's not interested in her like that 'Li', so chill! She's just, so still and quiet it's bizarre. She's like July. Only, there's only one July allowed.]

[ HDU SHE IS NOT BIZARRE SHE AND JULY ARE FLAWLESS! FLAWLESS HE SAYS!!! ]

[Nope. Creepy ass DOLL. He can deal with July. Yin is just too much.]

[ Pft. What-fucking-ever. ]

[ The angel just doesn't know a good thing when he sees it. ]

[More like this angel would think the Contractor should be relieved Yin isn't his type.]

[ There's a teenage boy on the same premises as his daughter. Hei would dislike him on principle. It's the law of nature. ]
