[ The feed clicks on to a familiar sight. 'Li' being 'Li' -- placidly preoccupied with cooking. A spread of ingredients -- a slab of dough, grated vegetables, minced beef -- are in bowls on the kitchen counter. But it's apparent that the kitchen isn't his. It's too large, too well-appointed. But Li opens shelves, takes out pots and utensils, as if he's familiar with the setting. Moving to the fridge, he cracks it open to peer inside. ]

[ And scowls. ]

[ Pitching his voice to a yell -- ] You forgot the milk. Again [ -- he reaches inside to withdraw two eggs. ] One simple task. And she can't do that right...

[ Such a sweet-tempered hubby. Whatever dish he's making is surely filled with love. Halfway to the counter, he nearly trips over something lying on the floor. Glowering, he stoops to collect a child's colorful softball. ] ...It's like living in a damn toybox... [ Grumblegrumble. Hopefully he's not this charming all the time. (Spoiler: he is.) ]

[She stops for a moment just to look at what he's doing.]

[He holds one up. Look, he's making dumplings.]

[She nods at it. Maybe she should try too?]

Daddy did not say.

[So he's just folding them all.]

[She nods and slowly reaches for one. Might as well help him, since Hei didn't give her the okay to buy milk.]

[Sister helping is a good thing. He can't really move himself to give her room to fit in but he does move the tray so she can reach better.

There. They can fold them together.]

[She can manage without room, and he made it easier on her anyway. With the tray closer, she uses her delicate fingers to fold the dumplings. It's new and slow going, but she watches July's technique and follows it.]

[Siblings folding dumplings. Aw yeah.]

[In mutual silence, like they do everything else. It's almost peaceful.]

[ How cute. ]

[ Now if only the parents would learn something from these two. ]

[Yeah, no one's holding their breath on that.]
