1st Vintage Card - Voice/Action
[The sound of the fountain could be heard, and the sound of a man coughing out water as he tried to talk. His voice sounds strained and short of breath.]
Boss? [A wet cough] This isn’t exactly what I expected. Can anyone... read me? [No names or call outs, just in case this was... something else. Better safe then sorry.]
[A slopping sound, as if he just hit ground and leaned back on something, could be heard over a wet cough. The tone of his voice however was dry:] This isn't the carrier. This better not be the afterlife.
((Some tags will be answered after he's out of the hospital. Feel free to action tag him in the hospital however!))

[Someone's missing, if this is the afterlife.] Are you okay? Do you need help? I can get you a towel.
[voice]
I hope that's not what it... is as well. [ah look, he's trying to smile as he says it, oh not that she can see, but it sounds like a young one?---which is wrong in general, huh.]
Where ...am I?
Re: [voice]
I'm Charlie.
[And she's actually a 20something young woman. Usually. On days where she's not cursed.]

Agent Coulson? [A pause, because that initial response was a touch more... emotionally telling than she might have liked. Excitement on Barton's behalf. Concern because... that looks like an awful nasty red spot blooming in the center of his chest, despite the fact the coat is covering most of it.]
Not the afterlife.. [Tumblers clicking into place in her mind. Connections being made, but not voiced.] How badly are you injured?
[Don't worry, she's gathering stuff.... things. She might not be the Natasha he knows, but she met him here and she won't leave him just sitting there like that.]
[voice]
[Well, at least that was a voice he wanted to hear. Hmm, def not the after life then. Where was he then?] Honestly? Pretty bad. [nope, not even going to joke and say it's just a flesh wound.]
Location? [Where the hell is he and why?]
[voice]
I'm on my way. [First aid kit, towels... a dry jacket. She really should just... keep an emergency 'new arrival' bag by the door. She's going to talk to Barton about that later.]
It's a little dimensional hiccup. A dumping point?
[Pausing to finish gathering a couple of other things she considers the easiest way to explain. She slings the bag over her shoulder and continues once she's shut the door behind her.]
I sort of imagine what happens when you poke the blade of a knife into a stack of paper but don't actually puncture it. The paper just sort of puckers around the point? That's what this is. They call it the City.

[Video] Sometime later...
So it seems. [So it seems he's been here before because there are people ho keep saying this to him. HMM.] Sad to say I don't remember ever being here before.
[Magical healing? He's go squinty eyed at that if he wasn't already on the good drugs. So he just smiled.] They say I'm going to make it.

Wait that doesn't sound so good.]
Are you hurt again? Do you need help?
[Video] Sometime later...
[He's also on the good drugs, oh yes.]
Yes, apparently I got hurt again. Though I can't admit to knowing about the first time. Some friends got me to the hospital. Forgive me if I don't remember who you are.

[ Action ] Later on.
But Clint is there, right by the bed, even though the sun has long since set, and Natasha is off in search of coffee. He's been trying to think of it as an op, sit still and be patient, and the result will be worth it. So far, so good; Phil appears to be stable, the operation went well, and Clint's not been thinking too much, which is a feat in and of itself.
Now all he needs is for Phil to wake up so he can relax, believe that he's really with them and going to be okay. ]
[ Action ]
[Right?]
[Only he realized there was a soft monitor beep somewhere, and he was laying don in a comfortable angle, and there was something connected to his hand. He let out a small groan as he attempted to sit up, only to find he couldn't actually make himself move.]

( later & in action )
Bucky might not have been too close to him, but the agent knew how to keep everyone in line and that itself was appreciated. So he does the right thing and comes to visit him in the hospital. Clint's a friend, Clint had been so broken up about the whole thing, so here he is, rapping his knuckles against the door. ]
You okay for some company, sir?
no subject
[Phil's dealing with medical staff and wondering if taking a healing offer from a magic user is a smart idea or not. Perhaps. Maybe. Still, he's sitting up in bed, surprised by how many people stop in or stay around.]
[At the knock on the door he looked up to see the man, then gave a slight nod] Come in. They haven't restricted my company yet.
