[The sound of the fountain could be heard, and the sound of a man coughing out water as he tried to talk. His voice sounds strained and short of breath.]

Boss? [A wet cough] This isn’t exactly what I expected. Can anyone... read me? [No names or call outs, just in case this was... something else. Better safe then sorry.]

[A slopping sound, as if he just hit ground and leaned back on something, could be heard over a wet cough. The tone of his voice however was dry:] This isn't the carrier. This better not be the afterlife.

[Hospital. In a bed. Awesome. Barton was right and they got him the good drugs. If anyone told him he'd be waking up to Captain America sketching near his bed side he'd call them a fool. Maybe...]

[Eyes open he just lays there, silent, looking at the man seated there. He's pretty sure he's dreaming is all. a soft groan was given as he moved his right arm, stiff and cold.]

[He looks over when he hears the groan]

How are you feeling?

[He speaks. Oh, maybe he really is there. Lifting his right hand up to touch his chest he winced]

With my fingers. [yep. He's feeling with his fingers. Truly, don't fault him for his bad old timey humor]

I guess if you're making jokes it can't be that bad.

[He is making jokes. Or trying to. He let his hand rest again, giving a tight not full smile] Could be worse. Could be better.

The doctors didn't want to let me in.

I see you managed to get in anyhow. [Charmed his way in maybe? Called someone ma'am?]
