[ He's holding up a sugar dispenser, that's all the video feed consists of, Bucky's hand as he turns it around, watching the yellow grains turn over and over. ] Sand. [ Captain obvious, but he seems to figure there's something off about it. ] That's the third thing today that's had sand in it an' it's early hours yet.

[ And it is, he's in the diner pretty early, probably pleased that he doesn't take anything in his coffee. Hopefully it didn't have sand in it, but it looks so far, so good. Bucky needs that.

Because this is at least distracting, so what the hell. ] Anyone got any ideas?

[ Oh. ] Guess she don't like not being the only dame in your life, huh?

She's jealous, that's all.

Not really used to that yet.

Of a dog bein' jealous?

Of anyone being jealous.

[He gets up and scratches Crepe on the head with his uninjured arm]

Lookin' like you do, I reckon you're gonna have to get used to it.

[She looks at him like she isn't ready to forgive him but gives him a concilatory kiss on the fingers]

Does that mean I gotta worry about you shooting any dame who looks at me?

Nah.

[ Leaning on the broom and giving Steve a very clear, very obvious once over. ] I reckon I got a few tricks to keep you in line.

[punchedhitler]

You gonna share, Barnes?

[yourbestguysgun]

[ His smirk shifts just slightly, changing to something flirtatious in an instant. ] It's more show than tell, kid.

[punchedhitler]

You gonna take pity on a wounded man?

[He reaches for that broom]

[yourbestguysgun]

Why? Does he want me to kiss it better?

[ Nu uh, holding it out of Steve's reach. ]

[punchedhitler]

[Steve reaches again]

Maybe.

[Except this time he turns and grabs Bucky around the waist, so he can pull him and the broom in closer]

Got it.

[Broom, plucked]

[ Ffff.

But that's okay, because Bucky's biding his time for the moment, fake pouting at him before he positions the pan they're going to need for all that sand. ]

[Steve releases him and goes for the sweeping]

lol whoops I totally misread that ;; IT'S OKAY, BUCKY'S GOING TO ATTACK IN A MINUTE. ;;

[ Watching him out of the corner of his eye for a moment. And okay, maybe getting distracted by his arms is a bad idea. ]

This can go in the can, right?

[ He's a jerk. Also, taking that swept up stuff away now.]

In sand and splinters?

The last time we tried to build something we managed a board on top of two cinderblocks.

Because we are amazing.

[ Coming back, and immediately invading Steve's space. ] Can you sit for me for a second?

[punchedhitler]

[Steve looks puzzled for a second, but then he sits]

And the most un-handy men in Brooklyn.

[ If he leaves too much of an opening for himself, he'll never do it, so Bucky just twists on his foot, and the next thing either of them know, he's straddling Steve on the couch. He huffs out a breath, slides his fingers around Steve's wrist to lift his arm, and very carefully presses a kiss to already healing skin. It's too light to be anything but the ghost of a touch, but Bucky's grin is a little wonky anyway. ]

Oh.

[Steve is looking at Bucky's face with wide eyes, and then his gaze follows to the kiss]

Yeah.

[His smile is silly and a little goofy - he kind of likes it when Bucky takes the initiative.]

[ He promised not to push Steve, and he won't, he wouldn't, but that doesn't mean he can't charm him anyway. Fingers curling into the fabric at his shoulder, Bucky tips forward slightly, presses his lips to corner of Steve's mouth, before trailing back, claiming another kiss, something slow and sweet. ]
