[ He's holding up a sugar dispenser, that's all the video feed consists of, Bucky's hand as he turns it around, watching the yellow grains turn over and over. ] Sand. [ Captain obvious, but he seems to figure there's something off about it. ] That's the third thing today that's had sand in it an' it's early hours yet.

[ And it is, he's in the diner pretty early, probably pleased that he doesn't take anything in his coffee. Hopefully it didn't have sand in it, but it looks so far, so good. Bucky needs that.

Because this is at least distracting, so what the hell. ] Anyone got any ideas?

[When Steve gets there after his run he just sits and takes his coffee and pours some...sand into it.

[ He can't help himself, he starts to laugh, hand covering his mouth as he snickers. What's happened between them, what Bucky knows now, hurts, sure, but he's still allowed this, because he has been Steve's friend since they were kids, and laughing at him is as normal as breathing. ]

That's what y'get for fillin' your coffee full of crap.

Uh huh. [ Taking a sip of his unposioned coffee. ] I found some in my gun holster this mornin'.

[ Bucky stares at the image of Howard on his screen for a long moment before he lets his intensity drop, picks up his coffee. ]

Maybe the City is turning into the beach... which could be cool in theory for awhile if it would keep to the ground and not the objects on the ground, or the table, or anywhere else. That's the only idea I have, which probably is a sign of the apocalypse all by itself since usually I'm idea heavy.

Hey, I'd be all for a beach. I mean, as long as it's not a beach in my bed, that's fine. I'd like to be sand free when I sleep.

Yeah, who can sleep on sand, anyway. Anytime you moved it'd be all grinding into your skin. Which, I'm all for exfoliation but not like that. So where have you found sand so far?
