[After that observation, he takes a moment to adjust his hat and clear his throat.] Assuming I'm usin' this thing correctly, and assumin' likewise that any of y'all out there can hear me... I was en route to the States last I recall, but it seems there's been some kinda...mishap, I guess. Secondly, ah... If anyone happens to see a big guy in a black mask and veil, maybe carryin' around a big ol' spear, that would be my partner. [A beat.] Work partner. His name's Aðalgeir and he ain't much of a talkative type, so if any of y'all would let me know where he is, that would also be very much appreciated.

[After another pause:] Geir, if you can hear this yourself, I need you to contact me pronto. I'm near this big fountain right now, but I ain't stickin' around long. [And the connection cuts out.]

[But if she's really asking something like that...] What, you ain't never heard of fey? [That can't be a good sign.]

No one really knows that, either. I can send you a guide, if you'd like, but it's pretty outdated.

[ There's a shake of her head. ] If it's a magic thing, we don't have it where I come from.

Well... Outdated is better'n nothin', I suppose.

[No magic... He wonders about that.] That's right. Any sorta creature capable of usin' magic all on its own is what's called a fey.

[He snorts.] If you mean men by "wizards," naw. I ain't part of any coven; I don't do nothin' against humans unless I'm bein' attacked by one.

And I don't deal with vampires, neither. [He sounds particularly adamant about that.] Or werebeasts. It's a personal policy.

[boutant]

[ Er. ] Well, I guess most wizards are men, as far as I'm aware. [ You people and all your different magic terms she doesn't even. ]

I don't know about werebeasts, but there are vampires here. And unicorns in the zoo, but they apparently gore anyone who's not a virgin.

Wizards are coven-kept men. It's nicer to call 'em warlocks, but it ain't much better.

That sure sounds like unicorns... [Wait.] They're bein' kept in a zoo?

[boutant]

I have no idea if they're in a coven or not. [ SUDDENLY ALL THE UNSURES. ] What if they introduced themselves to you as wizards?

Then I'd have to ask 'em what coven they'd been sworn into.

[And then he shakes his head.] Unicorns don't belong in zoos. No fey does.

I really have no experience with unicorns or zoos, outside of architecture.
