I was en route to the States last I recall, but it seems there's been some kinda...mishap, I guess. Secondly, ah... If anyone happens to see a big guy in a black mask and veil, maybe carryin' around a big ol' spear, that would be my partner. [A beat.] Work partner. [After another pause:] Geir, if you can hear this yourself, I need you to contact me pronto. I'm near this big fountain right now, but I ain't stickin' around long. [And the connection cuts out.]

[He chuckles at that.] Naw, just Elijah's fine by me.

I gotta say, ain't never been welcomed to any city with a handbook straight outta the gate like this.

[ There's a bit of a sheepish laugh. ] Sorry about that. I know it's a little impersonal, but I've noticed that people are more willing to believe and understand what's going on when it's put in front of them like that.

Well, it ain't as though not believin' is gonna change anything about the situation. Gettin' a better understanding's still good, though.
