[ The video only really shows Estelle's legs and the occasional glint of her blade as Tyr moves back. ]

[ With that, the message ends, just cutting off Estelle's response back to him. ]

[ Tyr's neck and the underside of his chin are all that's shown as he speaks in a quiet, somewhat choked voice. As far as location goes, all that's obvious about it is that he's laying in the sand, under the shade of some structure. ]

I, I tried... Sorry... [ And with some more strength: ] Be careful...And save her for me.

[ Some time later, a black shadow covers the entire screen, only to disappear a few seconds later as the device slips out of his hand, showing the sky overhead. ]


[ ooc: Adding to the death count... He'll be around a little while longer for anyone who wants to respond. That shadow at the end would be Tyr's rune leaving his hand to attach itself to Yuri! ]

[ He meant to send this to just Yuri, but he guesses it's too late for that. He swallows a lump in his throat and tries to find some words to respond. ]

[Please don't say that sweet innocent girl was hurt too. Too many people were dying. Even if that really didn't seem to be permanent this time it still shouldn't be happening!]

[ He hisses out: ] Don't you...dare come over here...

[ Even if Eagle can defend himself, he doesn't want him to fight Estelle, and more than that, Estelle shouldn't have to fight another one of her friends.

That's all he's thinking about. Part of him has accepted this is all that's left for him and the best he can do is not involve others. ]

[He's running and running and running but the sand doesn't offer much stability - when he arrives, he's too late, hears the whisper of Tyr's voice. He sees Tyr's body and before he has any time to turn to Estelle-- there's a dark shadow and he wonders what now. What could possibly be worse than this?

He expects a dark beast and instead finds something on his hand. It's familiar.

And he doubles over to vomit.]

[ He's running just behind Yuri when this happens and, naturally, Flynn's first reaction is to rush towards Yuri and to check his status- Did Tyr use his rune on him?! ]

[ At this point, Tyr is barely able to register that Yuri and Flynn are there. His body feels sort of weightless now, like there was a boulder on his chest that's gone now. It almost eclipses the pain of...dying.

If it weren't for Flynn's words, Tyr wouldn't really know they were so close now. ]

I said...be careful.

[ If they can even hear that. ]

[He shoves Flynn away from him, wiping the back of his mouth and spitting out the taste of bile.]

[ It's not that he's blaming Flynn, but it's hard not to sound bitter when your voice is raspy. He just wants someone to help him, almost more than he wants Estelle to be saved. ]

[Rita can't even begin to stop the horror that surges through her when she gets this message. Estelle--no, the thing controlling her--it just killed Tyr...Tyr...He gave her his rune, and she wasn't with him, and now this...]

T- [She chokes, trying to call his name, then tries again, voice strangled.]

Tyr! You...you have to be- [Alive. Be alive. She knows it's impossible, but--he has to be alive!]

[ And he especially didn't want Rita to get this message. It was meant for Yuri alone, and even if he knows other people have seen it now... A little shiver runs through his body, feeling more shame than he thinks he's ever felt before. ]

[ Part of him wants to to tell her he loves her, while a bigger part of him knows she won't want to hear him say that. ]

[She shakes her head, shouting, trying to ignore that it's too late--after all, Tyr's answering; he's alive, and she can save him...]

[ He grips the device a little tighter, the fingers of his other hand digging into his wound. He's never sounded more broken before. As much as he wants to be with her now, he doesn't want her to die with him. ]

Es-Estelle... Yuri... Yuri is...

[ Something like that. If she manages to get his location, he's barely outside the safe zone, hiding in the shade of a wall. ]
