Okay... this is strange.

[Saya glances over her shoulder, then focuses on her device with fair alarm.] First the waitress this morning told me I must have a hollow leg whatever that means, and then when I tried to stand up my leg was all weird. [She reaches down and thumps on it, and it produces a lovely echo.]

Then someone asked if I felt under the weather and... [She pans the device up to a very dark raincloud that appears to be localized only in the few square feet above her head.]

What kind of a curse is this?

((OOC: why, a Simon Says curse, of course! Saya must follow all "orders" today, with everything being taken literally. Be horrible to her please!))

It looks like you're seeing the trees but missing the forest.

[Between the device and Saya's face, a sudden tree sprouts from the ground, from seedling to fully grown in seconds. She reaches around the significant trunk to grab her device again, and now she's very unhappy.]

You know what's going on, don't you?

[Oh. Oops. Somehow he didn't realise she would be so annoyed by finding herself suddenly surrounded by trees.]

Sorry. You don't see any trees?

[The trees disappear as quickly as they appeared, shrinking down around her until it's as if they were never there. He's pretty baffled she doesn't seem to have clicked yet. The answer seems pretty apparent to him.]

Well, whatever anyone says is happening to you becomes real. So, if I said... [Oh, hold on. Examples are bad.] Maybe it would be better if I didn't say anything.

[It's more the not knowing what's going on that's troubling. But she does relax somewhat, or at least stops scowling, when he explains.]

Oh. What a weird curse.

[She thinks for a second. Maybe this didn't have to be all bad...]

Do you think I could order myself to be a princess or something?

[He shrugs.]

[She does. Saya calls out in a lofty-sounding voice that she should be a Princess.]

[...nothing happens.]

I guess not. [She looks almost comically disappointed.]

Maybe it only works if someone else does it.

[And of course there's only one way to test that.]

[Saya's clothes morph from a simple skirt and blouse into a pink gown. Her short hair also lengthens considerably.]

[She smiles, even if something is a little... familiar? It's maddening, not being able to remember your life.] Is this what a princess would wear? If so, I guess it worked.

Probably. I sort of thought you'd get a crown or something, but the dress looks princess-y.

[He's still impressed by the transformation, crown or no. It seems a pretty sweet curse apart from it only working when other people say things.]

Right, a crown. [She really should have gotten a crown, now that he mentions it. But the dress would feel wrong without it. Somehow. Of course she can't begin to explain how she knows that.]

That has to be it, then. Maybe next I'll have someone order me to get my memories back.
