If you've lived here for a while, you probably understand what's going on as much as any of us can understand the things that happen in the City. If you're newly arrived, either today or within the past month or two, this is probably more confusing.

There is a high probability that this is a two-day curse. People who have arrived today will likely leave after Sunday night. There's a history of this kind of curse in network postings if you go back far enough.

What I'm saying is that if there are people you don't want to see who have just popped up, they'll probably be gone soon and you can breathe a sigh of relief. If there are people here you want to see, make the best of this time, because I'm sorry to say it's probably limited.

I don't blame you if you don't want to believe me. Experiencing them is what brings it home. If you only got here today, you probably won't be around to see others.

No, I believe you. I've seen a wolf of fire while getting a tour through the underground from a vampire, and there's a guy who looks just like someone I know except with stupider hair, this place is obviously nuts.

Getting an underground tour from a vampire doesn't sound like a good call for anyone with a sense of self-preservation.

Sometimes. I don't really need to tell residents about the regular curses, but on days like this when there's a huge influx of temporary imports, it can save on repeat questions.

I've been here for five months and I know other people who have been here for three or four years. The odds are good that you'll only be here for 48 hours. I don't know why, but I don't know the why of most things here.

It's all relative. I know of both welcome and unwelcome people in the City this weekend.

What's a Loki?

Trickster god. There are three varieties in the city this weekend. One's a kid who calls himself Serrure, another's either a guy calling himself Luke or sometimes he's a woman who calls herself Chloe, and there's a guy in dire need of family therapy and ECT who just calls himself Loki and sometimes wears a bug helmet.

If you're lucky they'll just lie to you. If you aren't random mayhem and murder's not off the menu.

This place is a regular mad house, isn't it.
