The city is full of new and strange visitors, a rather influx of them.

And here are seven more:

A mother cat and her six kittens are rambling about the city. While this normally may not be anything of note, this cat and her kittens are special.

See, they teleport.

That's right.

Teleport.

So, that sandwich you were about to eat? Now has a kitten on it.

Is that a mewing you hear in your purse? Yes, because there is now a kitten in it.

What's that under your hat? A kitten? Yup.

And is that grey kitten eating a plate? Like chewing it and swallowing the pieces? And then starting on the tablecloth? Yup.

At least all the kittens are friendly and momma cat is around to rescue them if they get into too much trouble.

[No! Not these jeans. Setsuna insists.]

[He keeps his finger gentle, but doesn't leave the soft stomach. She's too cute. And...so are the ones cuddled up by Setsuna's feet, he finds, finally looking down to find them. Well, at least he knows where they are, now.]

[Well, Mayhem actually appears to be GASP full with Setsuna's shirt sleeve, so he's gonna nap on his shoulder now.

Fluffy is just going to love upon him.

And now a sleek black cat with a collar appears. She's obviously the mom as she has a kitten in her mouth.]

[Finding Mayhem asleep, Setsuna smiles at him and gives him some petting, before returning to Fluffy's stomach.]

[When he sees the mother, though, he curls his arm around Fluffy. No, not yet, mama cat!]

[She sniffs him curiously as if trying to decide if Setsuna is an appropriate napping place for her children.]

[He allows the sniffing, but watches her carefully. No, don't take them yet, he's silently pleading.]

[She drops the kitten she's holding into his lap and then adds herself to the pile.]

[Setsuna just looks for a moment, then calms with an easy going smile. He reaches out to pet the latest addition, and the mother, wondering if she's as affectionate as her babies.]

[She purrs contentedly and starts to groom one of her babies. The chosen child starts making frustrated meeping noises.]

[He stops petting the mother to give the one making noises gently head rubs with his fingers.]

Oh! There you lot be!

[A very harassed man with a thick Cork accent and covered in cat hair comes trotting over.]

And you be looking the first person happy to see them.

[Setsuna stares, and keeps petting the cats. He nods his head to the point he's happy to see them. Yes, and what do you want with them?]

The mum be Veena. She be my familiar.

And let's see. That be Mayhem who be eaten your shirt. Squirt, Trouble. Mischief, Brat and Fluffy.

[Just wide eyes, still, though Setsuna's hand pauses for a moment. What he wants to ask is, 'Is it okay to pet a familiar?' On the other hand, it's nice to know who they all belong to, and their names.]

Aye, it be all right. She be all cat.

[He pauses.]

Well mostly. I nae be sure where she be getting her ability to teleport. We do know that the wee little muncher is part goblin though.

[Goblin?! Well, that explains the teeth.... Setsuna looks at Mayhem, then gives him a gentle pat while he sleeps. Then he goes back to petting the ones in his lap. Do they have to go home?]

Don't worry. He's as dumb as a rock and the most gentle thing ever.

[Trever gets that a lot in regards to Mayhem. But the kitten really is dumb and sweet. He's too dumb to know how to be vicious.]

Maya's going to love to hear about his adventures.

[Setsuna grins and nods his head in agreement. He thought they were all pretty sweet, actually. And fun. Animals are always a joy for him.]

I'd be letting you take one but they be spoken for back home. And hopefully we be going back home.

[Because Trever REALLY doesn't want to have to deal with the kittens here.]

[He pouts a little, though he understands, and won't cause any trouble when it's time for them to go, or when Trever takes them from him. But for now, he pets them all in turn.]

[Because it really is sad how he's looking and yet how comfy he is with the cats.]

[Setsuna shrugs. He hasn't bonded with any teleporting kittens here. But you never know, not with this place. He pets them all in turn, again, purposefully trying to sneak a finger to Fluffy's belly.]

[She squeeks and bats at his fingers.

Trever meant normal kittens. He damn well hopes there aren't any teleporting kittens around here normally. Poor Theo would go insane.]

[But Setsuna likes the extra trouble. Oh well. There's always the animals at the zoo. He's not sure his housemates will allow him to have a pet.]

[And for now, he gets to spend a bit more time with these little guys. Even the one on his shoulder gets a pet, and Setsuna checks to make sure Mayhem isn't in danger of falling off.]
