[Lucy is out running around the city picking up last minute gifts, decorations and food. She's entirely and totally aware of the curse. It's her favorite curse of the year so she's making no attempt to stay out from under the mistle toe. In fact, she might cross the street to be under it's influence for some people.

Later she can be caught at her shop, arranging displays and filling shelves. The mistle toe is fairly plentiful here as well and likely to end up in kissing at any place in the store.]

[ don't mind him, he's just brushing off his shirt of imaginary dust and all that. Because he can't hardly admit that he's a little tired of being mauled. He barely escaped with his laugh after the last one! ]

[Lucy just gives him a look.] Don't even go there. I'm not that dumb.

[ he laughs nervously, tugging on a sleeve. ]

Well, truth be known, I'm not exactly used to kissing. At least, not on this level. [ he's had some experience, thank-you very much. ]

You should definitely get used to the kissing. It's a fun and nonfatal curse. We don't get a lot of those here.

[pratful]

[ he glared ] We shouldn't have to get used to it. These curses are nothing but a bother. It's amazing any work gets done around here.

[mightbeconcussed]

You're very angry about being kissed, aren't you?

[pratful]

[ he took a deep breath and then crossed his arms. ] I'm not angry. I'm frustrated. I can't even walk down the street without some person or other pulling me under the mistletoe.

[ he shakes his head ]

I'm all for tradition, but there's a time and a place for that. [ or there should

You should be thankful that you're pretty. It'd be worse if no one wanted to kiss you.

[pratful]

[ he starts to speak and then stops ]

I was under the impression this was a curse. Are you telling me people are doing this voluntarily?

[ and also, how does one being pretty factor into it? If you're cursed, you're cursed. ]

Uhm...duh? I mean...probably the majority of people are cursed. Some of them are just taking advantage of the curse or you know, seeking out the mistletoe.

[It factors in if you're not trying to avoid the mistletoe naturally.]

[ Arthur gives Lucy a blank stare before he suddenly turns bright. ]

Oh.

I see.

That... would certainly explain a few things. [ and Arthur suddenly has the very real awareness of just how much mistletoe is hanging up in the shop ]

I, uh, can tell you're on of the latter, aren't you.

[ he gulps and tries very hard not to show it. ]

[Lucy rolls her eyes.]

Seriously? Like I'd want to kiss you when you're so obviously against the whole thing.

By the way, you suck. I'm not that horrible to kiss.

[ he stiffens ]

I do not "suck" as you so quaintly put it. [ he glares and steps a step closer ] And I simply protest the fact no one asks for it first.

[mightbeconcussed]

Okay. Girl lesson number whatever. We won't ask. I mean, not usually. We are cripplingly insecure even when we have no reason to be and if we have to ask you to kiss us, it's like...'great, I'm not even good enough to kiss. Wow. I think I'll go eat a pint of ice cream and reorganize my closet.'

[pratful]

[ he stares ]

That makes no sense whatsoever. Asking is simply being honest and polite. A guy could be jailed for presuming upon a lady where I'm from.

[ and as Morgana's demonstrated on him more times then he can count for pure simple practice; he knows well that a lady means business.

[Lucy is just giving him a confused look] Okay, yes. I mean...it's complicated. You know when a girl doesn't want you to kiss her. I mean...you totally know and you can't even say you don't. So...you don't kiss those girls, but you also know or at least have a good idea when a girl wants to be kissed. You kiss those girls.
