[It's an undisputed fact of the City that not every curse is a tragedy. Sometimes they are. Sometimes they're just irritating. Sometimes they can even be fun. It's all a matter of perspective, really.

If you happen to be strolling through the park this afternoon, you'll find a group of citizens gathered around an old school boombox and a badass set of speakers. They've decided being annoyed by spontaneous dancing is too much effort, so instead, they're using it as an excuse to skip out on work and share the music they love with their fellow citizens.

Hey, man, any excuse to have fun! You're all invited! Bring your records, your cds, your mp3 players, your guitars, your voices. If you have music to share, there's a group of people here ready to dance. And if you're just in the mood to dance yourself, well, you're in good company.]

[Korra had gone to the park to train, but the sounds of music drew her to the crowd. Before she knew it, she was dancing along with the crowd.]

[Cursed? Not cursed? Who cares? The music may be weird and she may not really know how to dance, but that's not stopping her from having a good time.]

[She watches Tohru, all seriousness.] I've never seen that before. Like this? [Okay, she's not great with the hip-swinging.]

Yes, like that. And you just move along to the beat the music is making. It's enjoyable! I feel...a little free when I'm doing this.

You do? I just feel kind of... silly.

Oh, you do? [...what if Jinora doesn't enjoy it? She doesn't want to make her do anything she doesn't like.]

I'm sorry. If you don't like it, you don't have to. I didn't mean to drag you into something you don't enjoy.

No, it's okay! I asked, so you don't need to be sorry!

But what things do you enjoy doing? Maybe we could do something like that together, instead.

Well... I like doing airbending forms. Like this. [She does a few sweeping circular movements that look like a combination of martial arts and slow dancing.]

Th-that! That looks like some of the dancing a few people are doing. A little different.... It looks amazing!

I'm not sure I can do something like that! [But to the right beat, it might work instead of what they had been doing.]

[Approval from an older and nice and therefore cool person. The girl is very pleased.]

Maybe you can dance your way and I can dance mine? ...Or are there rules about this?

I don't think there are any rules? Hopefully not, because I might have broken some. But I don't see why we can't do that.

If it would be alright, I'd like to learn your way, too. Unless you want to be the only one! Then I won't take that from you. [She's excited, regardless, as long as they dance together, she's fine with it.]

We're not in trouble, so it must be okay.

No, I don't mind if you dance like I do! [If anything, Jinora's surprised that Tohru would want to.]

Yes, I think we're alright.

Really?! That's great, because it looks like fun! You can teach me, right? [She honestly thinks it looks different and enjoyable.]

Oh--um, okay. Just go like this. [Jinora shifts most of her weight onto her back leg and raises her arms. From there, it's all light-footed and circular footwork and graceful, arching arm motions. The girl is very focused, as serious about this as everything else.]

[And Tohru's wide eyed. The most she can get is the first part, and then she's a little unsure, and clumsy, but she tries.]

I-I don't think I can do it quite the way you do.

But that was good! It's part of an airbending form and they take a lot of practice.

[She looks around at the other dancers. Jinora has no idea what kinds of dances they're doing, but none of them are doing anything that looks remotely like a form.]

How do they dance at home, where you're from?

Airbending? What's that?

There are all different types of dances. A lot of what you see here. I haven't seen very many of them, since I don't often have time for things like this. [She gives the dancers a warm smile, appreciating this chance to watch.]

It's a form of chi direction to some people. To Airbenders, it's everything.

[She watches the dancers, too, not sure what to make of them.] Where you always busy at home?

Oh! I know about chi! It's used in martial arts, right?

[She smiles to that.] I guess I am. Between school, studying for school, and work. And then cleaning and cooking, too.

Something like that.

[seriously] Is it nice to be here where you don't need to do all of that?

I like doing those things, though. But I do like having a little more time for things like this, too.

There is some free time back home. But I spend it with my friends.

Is this like spending time with friends?

Yes! That's exactly what this is like. Only we're doing something I don't normally get to!

Then you should make the most of it.

That's why I'm spending it with you!
