[Oh! Ohh...]

You look much better now! Did you get out all right?

[charring]

[She grins, nodding.] I did. A friend of mine who is very good with fire helped.

[She tilts her head just a bit, concerned.] Weren't you trapped at one point, too?

[deadmanbusiness]

I was, but I managed to get myself out by using what they did to me against them.

[He shakes his arm and Jasper drops off of it. It lands on the floor like a beet and then, after being unnaturally still, gets up and climbs up Theo's leg.]

[charring]

Nice one.

[Charlie watches Jasper, staring at the rat for a moment before raising an eyebrow.] Huh. Is he...?

[Dead? Is that a dead rat you're playing with, Theo? Zombie rat?]

[deadmanbusiness]

I raised a couple hundred rats and they never broke the connection between me and them. So...I spooked up the rats.

[He glances at Jasper.]

I kept a pair awake after all the ruckus. I always wanted my own minions, but it's not legal back home to have zombies of any kind.

[Yup. Yup. And it doesn't even bother him.]

[That's definitely not something she's ever seen before. But she doesn't seem horrified or repulsed. She seems more fascinated than anything else.]

That's actually pretty nifty.

[They're adorable in their own little way.]

I think so. They're a pain sometimes because I've got them on rat mode, but it's easier than sort of regular zombie mode.
