Besides, I haven't got a date and only last year's costume in my closet. That's not very good at all, is it?

Nah. Roundabout way of saying I miss Harry sometimes.

Halloween's always got a massive feast at school. Great big pumpkins, live bats, everything. No costumes, though, that was something I only started doing here.

We didn't do costumes either. For us, Halloween is the one night of the year where the veil between our world and the Otherworld is at its thinnest. It's a night of power and of remembrance.

I would not be as good as a date, maybe, but if there is a party, I would go with you. I'm eager to see how Halloween is celebrated here, and I think going with friends would be fun.

Perhaps keep it simple? A favorite dress and a feathered mask should be all that's necessary for a party. In my world, that was the expected fashion on a night like tonight. [ and much, much easier on his nerves for that matter! ]
