♣ 015 || Video | Action at the mansion if you want it
[ Liam's stern face appears on the line and after a brief sigh, and a push of his forefinger against the bridge of his glasses, he speaks. ]
There's no help for it. I'm afraid I must request help of a particularly delicate nature. Discreetness is of course required. For those interested, please respond to my number, personally.
Thank-you
As for the job itself, well... prior experience in the cleaning business, would be most beneficial.
[ Liam hung up quickly and pressed his forehead against the nearby wall. After months of working for Karl, he still hadn't managed to make a dent in the mess some four or five vampires can make in a days time. And that spoke of nothing about Diva! If Vincent was bad, he had nothing on Diva. Fluff strewn everywhere... ]
((ooc: aka, Liam's been housekeeping for Karl/Solomon/Nathan/Diva/Marishka and anyone else who is a common resident of Diva's Mansion and he's getting frustrated and looking for a maid to help get ahead of the mess. His perfectionist attitude won't allow things to stay in such unkempt conditions!))

Action;
Oh?
Then what's all this about delicacy and discretion?
Action;
I was simply looking to hire an extra maid. With the added guests in the house, I deemed it a wise use of resources. [ please, please, please don't tell him no! ]
Action;
Oh. A maid. [ Is that all? Of course a maid would be useful. Hire away. ] Here I thought you required assistance in disposing a corpse.
Action;
Why would I need assistance for that? [ he's almost afraid to ask but, honestly. Just because candlesticks lying around everywhere... ]
Action;
Well, in some circles, cleaning business is code for body-disposal. Naturally I was curious. [ ~Jack be nimble, Jack be quick~
Those candlesticks serve other purposes~]Action;
[ fdjsklald ] That's not what I meant!
[ ... and please have a care. Liam has to clean and polish those candlesticks! ]
Action;
There's nothing to be uneasy about. We all endure the hassle of corpse-disposal every once in a while. It's part of life.
[ They're in far better shape than the bedsheets :| ]
Action;
[ he coughs and hacks up a lung ] That's... that's not normal! [ and sadly true. He's been on the bad end of a corpse removal a time or two himself. An occupational hazard of dealing with chains in his world. ]
Action;
Of course it is.
I'd go so far as to say, it's a character-building experience.
[ A man who can effectively dispose corpses is always useful. ]
Action;
[ he cleans his glasses and glares at Karl before setting them back on his nose ] I'm afraid I'll have to disagree. It's one thing if you work for a police force and another entirely to ask a maid to do the work. You do follow the law I hope. [ if not, consider this his resignation! ]
Action;
Of course I follow the law. Straight as an arrow. Clean as a whistle. Pious as a nun. Etcetera etcetera. [ Sotto voce. ] ...They're not all that pious, if you want my opinion.
Action;
... maybe.
So he'll just settle for staring at Karl with suspicion. ] I see. You have an acquaintance among them? [ or is this an issue discovered by being on the other side of the law? Oh, for the days when he could have done a simply background check on anyone of his choosing! ]
Action;
I used to run a boarding-school. It was originally a convent. Something of an occupational hazard, running into men and women of the cloth. [ Not that he particularly cared for Catholic perversions. He preferred the schoolgirls. They were pure in a way that mattered. ]
Action;
... I was referring to policemen. [ he's afraid he doesn't have much experience with religion, outside Yura and that was hardly a religion considering it's true origins. ]
Action;
We~ll. I do know a Cherub in the Police Force. [ Lucky Liam. ]
Action;
Action;
Not corrupt. But no-one is pure as driven snow.
Action;
Action;
Action;
Having a pure heart does not mean one cannot regret. It simply means you don't allow it to define you.
[ and kitties flock to Karl because they clearly haven't formed good sense as of yet. Wait until they're older. They'll learn. ]
Action;
That depends on how immense the regret is. People suffer through life in different strokes of agony. For some, it becomes all they are.
[ Or maybe they never will and he'll have a kitty collection FOREVER O:!!! ]
Action;
Indeed, and once their agony consumes them, there's naught left but insanity. [ and thus, another Chain is borne, carrying the lost down deep into the darkest Abyss.
He's heard this tale often, seen the aftermath of the destruction more times then he'd like to admit. Where agony lies, death was often the outcome. ]
However, not all fall prey to their own folly. A rare few learn to rise above it. Would you disagree?
Action;
If there are any who've risen above it, I've yet to meet them. [ He shrugs an idle shoulder. ] Anyway, being insane isn't all that bad.
Action;
I disagree. It's a hassle and creates far too much unnecessary paperwork. My time is much better spent elsewhere.
Action;
Do you handle paperwork for many madmen?
Action;
