[It's hard to tell what the gentleman is thinking as a pair of sunglasses cover half his face. From the tone of his voice it's easy to tell that he's exasperated, tired and pissed off. He's dressed in a very expensive business suit that is currently a bit singed, has some blood on it, and very rumpled. Clearly someone has been busy before they arrived here and hasn't had a chance to change.]
Another kidnapping? Really. Don't you people ever get tired of it?
I have to say it's pretty good for a kidnapping. I mean, I didn't even feel the transfer and that's damn hard to do.
[He pauses and looks around to get a better sense of his surroundings.]
Are you fair folk? It doesn't feel like Faery.
[That said, he shrugs dismissing the matter out of hand. Faery or not, he's still been kidnapped after all. That's what needs to be dealt with.]
Anyway. It'd be best to let me go back right now for everyone's sake. My father will be pissed off when he finds me missing and his temper is already frayed and my fiancee will be pissed off and her temper is even more frayed.
This seems like a nice place, if odd. So instead of pissing off the god of the dead and the warmage just let me go home and I won't mention it. This will save a lot of lives in the long run.
I've got enough on my plate already.
Please, don't add any more.

There are deities here, though, and they seem to run things.
no subject
[His father does run things. More than people realize.]
no subject
No one knows why they deities do that, but they do.
no subject
[Honestly it's the first thing that pops into his head.]
no subject
But they do often seem very happy about not so nice things.

I don't think they care what we do.
Or what happens to us.

It's just the way it is.
But the City's not a bad place, really.
Everyone's nice to me here.
The curses can be really hard sometimes, but they usually only last till midnight.
no subject
Why wouldn't people be nice to you?
And what are these curses?
no subject
Oh, all sorts. Sometimes you turn into an animal or a little kid. Sometimes they post bad memories of your on the Network. Sometimes bad or scary people show up or you end up doing things you never would and you can't stop yourself.

I.... have had some stuff like that happen to me before.
[Drunk Ritual Mages are fun!]

Results can be ... interesting.

I'm sorry.

So they can do rituals that summon things, open temporary gates, transform things. It's all maths.
Adrian when drunk does little rituals. But doing math while drunk... sometimes one plus one ends up equaling negative pie.
One time at his birthday party he ended up trying to show off a new spell and turned us all into chipmunks.
no subject
That's all way too complicated for me to do.
[But then there's a giggle.]
He turned you into chipmunks?
no subject
Yes. The entire team. It was a fascinating three hours.
no subject
I've turned into a deer, here, though. That wasn't bad.
no subject
A deer doesn't sound too bad.
no subject
Drunk chipmunks.
[And more giggles.]
Actually it was kind of fun. I loved being able to run through the woods so fast!
no subject
It sounds a bit freeing. Did you think you were a deer?
no subject
Well, I knew I was Rain, but I also knew I was a deer. If that makes sense.
Maybe it doesn't 'cause I say things wrong sometimes.
no subject
You thought you were always a deer? Like it was always your natural form? Or you had your human intelligence at the same time you were a deer?
no subject
Um... You ask lots of hard questions.
No. I was me, but I knew that right then I was a deer and it felt right to be in a deer body and I knew what deer knew, but I was still all me inside.
