Rita can produce flames via spells! I suppose our Blastia are capable of producing flames as well! There are also ways that people who aren't as magic savvy can create them with matches as well as rubbing two flammable rocks together.

Yes, exactly that. The two rocks produce enough heat between each other to create the spark. If you have a flammable source nearby, you can start a fire!
