There's sand in my popcorn.

[ A slight shrug, and she dumps the handful before setting the bucket aside. She seems to have not noticed the fact that she's wearing makeup, a short red dress, or fishnets. Instead, she's acting like it's a totally normal day. And it is. It's just... sexier than usual. ]

I guess I shouldn't be eating popcorn before lunch anyway. I'll pick some more up later; hopefully it'll be sand-free.

I picked it up in France. I don't do it regularly -- it was always more of a social thing.

It became a little more of a habit for a while here, unfortunately, but now it's just every so often.

Stress relief, I would imagine. It seems to function very well that way.

It's not too stressful today, though. I feel really good today.

[He flicks a bit of invisible lint off his suit.]

I'm glad you like it.

Lily showed me some of hers a while back. She gave me some skirts, but because of our height difference some adjustments had to be made.

[ They're long skirts that help her look taller, but now she's wondering if maybe they should have been shortened a bit more. ]

Shortening them?

[ Though not as much as he'd like them to be shortened -- she's just tiny. ]

Maybe I'll wear one the next time I'm planning on working in my office instead of out on the engineering floor.

And Fred is screeching and calling me fat. I think he needs his eyes checked.

[There's some mental clawing of eyes there.]

I think he does, too. And people say I have bad eyesight.

There isn't some sort of spell that could fix that?

[ Oh, here comes curiosity time. ]/small>

I believe St. Mungo's does have a procedure to fix eyesight, yes, but it is extremely delicate and very expensive, well out of the range of most witches or wizards.

Do wizards have their own version of medical school, then?

Sixth and seventh-year students at Hogwarts can choose to focus on intensive healing courses if they so desire, and then it's likely they'll move on to an internship at St. Mungo's or another magical hospital for an internship.

Is that what you mean?

[ Note to self: never go to a wizard doctor. ]

Back where I'm from, it takes something like eight years. Four years of pre-med, then four years of medical school and whatever you're going to focus on. I think.

I suppose it's a lot more difficult without magic. More guesswork.

It can be harder to diagnose things, yeah. Doctors are also really afraid of getting things wrong, because people are sue-happy, and then little things can get super expensive.

'Sue-happy?'

Oh, uh-- lawsuits.

[ Percy please tell her you know what a lawsuit is... ]

Legal action against the doctor?

Oh, yes, of course. Yes, I can imagine without a magical diagnosis, it's much easier to get things wrong.
