'm just gonna chalk this up to some future thing I don't get, but whatever it is, it ain't funny.

[ It's audio simply because Bucky doesn't quite want to broadcast I got tortured by HYDRA and all I got was this lousy t-shirt. He still has to go to work though, has to be a normal human being for once even if all he wants to do is set the damn thing on fire. Whether or not he's out of it is optional the mood he's in. ]

Don't worry, I'm not gonna get you to draw on my pancakes in syrup any time soon.

[ Mostly because that would waste too much time. Bucky wants to eat them then and there always. ]

[ He ends up ruffling Steve's hair before pushing up and making a grab for his coffee again. He wants it to be midnight already, so he can forget this. Just like he's supposed to be forgetting everything else. ]

You really should get some rest.

[He finishes his own and finally stands up, and undoes his gauntlets]

[ Bucky ends up watching him. He kind of wishes he could call in sick, follow Steve to bed and curl up against him. He kind of wishes he could be honest. ]

[Steve looks over, unsnapping the outer armor off and leaving only his blue shirt]

[ Gaze flickering up, his head tilted in silent question. ]

[He doesn't know how to ask, he knows it's bothering him, but he can't fix it]

Maybe one of my shirts will cover it.

Charlie was saying that no matter how often you change it, whatever you put on just says it too.

[ At least it's better than I am possibly about to turn into a Russian Assassin.

Sighing, running his hand over his forehead. ] It's fine, it's not like me being a soldier is a secret.

[Steve just holds his breath for a second, and then lets it out]

Call in. I'll cover your shift.

No way. [ Shaking his head. ] You're dead on your feet, darling.

[He had coffee.]
