As if on cue, he shifts, takes a step forward-- and jumps off of it and onto the ground a few feet behind Ventus. ]

There you are, Ventus. I’ve been looking for you. [ He raises some weird looking sword, swinging it forward.

Ventus moves out of the way sharply, communicator dropping to the ground as he pulls out his own odd looking sword. It is then that the feed times out. ]

That's how I feel every time I go to a new world, so that's not surprising. How weird does it get, though?

The deities curse us all the time—it's not as bad as it sounds, though. Sometimes it's just silly stuff. Like they've turned people into little kids before, or made us do stupid stuff. It usually only lasts a day or so.

And sometimes people leave and come back, but they don't remember ever being here before.

That doesn't sound bad at all. I've been small before, and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Not kid small, but mouse small. It was pretty cool, actually.

Conveniently (oh so conveniently), it hits the button to start video feed. At first, Ven will only see the ceiling and a blurry, wagging tail as it swings over the camera briefly. And then a familiar voice.]

Axel! No! Bad girl!

[Yappy dog gets quieter as she is unceremoniously planted outside the room. There's the sound of footsteps and motion, and then said familiar voice is joined by an even more familiar, nervous-looking face.
