I hear you're in charge of the police force; I was wondering if you had time to discuss the possible involvement of the Avengers?

[ Coulson is walking Fury in the park; he isn't even doing anything that would constitute a victory but that doesn't mean others aren't -- the jogger there apparently just broke his own best time, if his joyous expression when he looks up from his watch is any indication.

And then he grabs Coulson and plants one on him, Fury barking at them both. ]

Well. [ A beat. Then, drily: ] That was unexpected.

[ Pepper had been talking to Serrure about his universe, a universe where Asgard is in Oklahoma, there was a push to make superheroes register with the government, and apparently people who die come back more often than not.

So it doesn't take much for that conversation to come to mind when she's out and about and she spies Phil walking his dog. ]

Phil!

[ She rushes right over, grabs him, and...

Well she's just so glad he's alive. ]

[debrief]

[ He waves when he sees Pepper, opening his mouth to greet her--

and being kissed instead. ]

[ An entirely too long to be appropriate amount of time later, Pepper realizes what she's just done and pulls back. ]

Oh. Ohhh, Phil. I'm so sorry!

[ Giving a somewhat self-deprecating smile, one hand on her arm. ]

It's all right.

So did anyone get anything good out of Loki when he was cursed? [ Because Bucky was a kid he couldn't really. ]

I'm going to have to get back to you on that.

Well, he sure don't have any qualms about messing with kids.

Just tried to do the whole emotional upset thing. It's fine, I was fine, but it kinda says somethin' about him, y'know?

[Crowley was just feeding the ducks. Occasionally one picked up a special piece of bread and well... sank. It's a hobby. But there was one duck in particular that had managed to avoid every special piece of bread he'd tossed its way for the past couple of weeks and it was starting to annoy him.

Today, it snatched up that piece of bread and down it went.]

[And to celebrate, well... there's a face that's familiar from the network, and Crowley's on his feet and... he's just so happy he has to share.]

[ What is it with people and celebrations today? Maybe he shouldn't have left the apartment today.

But Fury needs to be walked. So here he is.

His hands come up to Crowley's shoulders, mouth dropping open a little in surprise. ]

[Crowley is simply elated. Success, and here’s the perfect person with whom to celebrate, because what bad job well done isn’t made all the better by confusing the Hell out of (or into) a complete stranger? He is all for going with the moment, wrapping an arm behind Phil’s back to dip him back while Crowley plants a big kiss right on his open mouth. And what’s a little forked tongue and coffee breath between friends virtual strangers?

Behind him, the poor duck bobs to the surface while Crowley’s attention is elsewhere.]

[ Dipping. He is being dipped. The coffee breath at least isn't that unusual, but the forked tongue is yet another surprise and Phil is torn between holding on to Crowley's shoulders (because of the dip, thank you) and pushing him away. ]

[Her dogs are stashed in a kennel for the week she plans on just being off without any responsibilities, so Angela's alone today, sketch pad under her arm to try and zone out with her muses. It's hard, though, when people who are teaching their kids how to ride a bike are successful and they keep stopping her for pecks. But she manages to get to her preferred area, which surprise, is a goal she has beaten. It just so happened that Coulson is there by luck. Good or bad, who knows, but Angela's making a beeline straight for him]

[ He has resigned himself to the fate of being kissed by just about anyone. At least he knows her?

Raising a hand in half a wave. ] Hey.

[And she knows him and his driving skills. This makes everything better, right?

Her hands cup his jaw as she kisses him firmly on the lips for a long moment before letting go and moving down to kiss Fury on his cold wet nose. Apparently not even pets are safe from her today.]

Okay, now that part I didn't enjoy.

[ Of course.

He doesn't quite kiss back, but his hands settle over her waist for a moment. And then he grins. ]

At least you're not making him feel left out.

[Well, it just so happens she's walking the dogs right now, in the same park. By walking that means she's let them run free and keeps whistling them back every now and then. And of course they'll recognized a long lost brother.]

[ Fury recognises them as well, gone in a flash to play with his brothers and sisters.

Once Phil sees who all those dogs belong to, he smiles and lets him play, stepping up next to Sif. ]

Lady Sif.

Agent Phil Coulson. [She greets him with a smile, watching her two dogs start playing with his dog, amused. It seems almost like yesterday that she suggested they might want to play together at one point.

It was yesterday, in fact.]

Seems they get to play together sooner than expected.
