I hear you're in charge of the police force; I was wondering if you had time to discuss the possible involvement of the Avengers?

[ Coulson is walking Fury in the park; he isn't even doing anything that would constitute a victory but that doesn't mean others aren't -- the jogger there apparently just broke his own best time, if his joyous expression when he looks up from his watch is any indication.

And then he grabs Coulson and plants one on him, Fury barking at them both. ]

Well. [ A beat. Then, drily: ] That was unexpected.

[Well, it just so happens she's walking the dogs right now, in the same park. By walking that means she's let them run free and keeps whistling them back every now and then. And of course they'll recognized a long lost brother.]

[debrief]

[ Fury recognises them as well, gone in a flash to play with his brothers and sisters.

Once Phil sees who all those dogs belong to, he smiles and lets him play, stepping up next to Sif. ]

Lady Sif.

[asofwar]

Agent Phil Coulson. [She greets him with a smile, watching her two dogs start playing with his dog, amused. It seems almost like yesterday that she suggested they might want to play together at one point.

It was yesterday, in fact.]

[debrief]

Seems they get to play together sooner than expected.

[asofwar]

Seems that way, yes.

[Is this a reason for success? A triumph? It certainly seems so, considering how she now has her mouth pressed against him.]

[debrief]

[ Apparently so; and for once he counts it as a success as well so he is kissing back, one hand cradling the back of her head almost carefully. ]

[asofwar]

[Oh, the carefulness from far more fragile beings - it is endearing, in a sense. But it won't do. She moves her hand to the back of his head, and draws his closer, her kiss intent on leaving a mark; before she pulls away.]

I seem to be doing that often today. If it has made you uncomfortable, I apologize.

[debrief]

[ He's breathing harder when she does pull back, eyebrows up. Not necessarily uncomfortable, but-- certainly surprised. ]

It's a curse.

Yes, I know. It is why I am apologizing.

[debrief]

I see. [ He supposes if she had wanted to kiss him... ] In that case, I'm sorry as well.

[asofwar]

[She waves the apology away, as if not necessary.] It was not unpleasant. You are still alive, after all. [Look at the smile, Coulson - she's joking she swears...]

For which I'm rather thankful.
