[After spending a good deal of the previous day and night heavily drinking, waking up to the sound of someone screaming was not what ne had expected so early in the morning.
Coming face to face with an animal instead of the suspected human should have been a sign ne'd had more to drink than ne thought in the first place. And wait...wasn't someone missing? Oh well.
That the animal spoke? Yeah, never mind this was just getting to be typical wasn't it? ]
[Hatter turns on the device so the City is offered a shot of the annoying thing.]
It's about time you woke up. You truly are worthless. There are better things to do than lay around all day unless you wish to take the Lord and Lady's place instead?
[Instead of responding to the bird, ne looks to the device.]
Still? Should One be happy it's only this day instead of both?

[That's who was missing.]
It appears so. And quite loudly.
Private
[ Alas. He got spirited off to Phantomhive manor. And handcuffed to Solomon. Damn weekends. ]
Private
A part of this One it is. So apparently not.
[Nothing says family time like bondage.]
Private
[ He's positive he'd strangle his own. ]

This really is one of those weekends.

[Ne just suffered other's curses yesterday.]
Not even a proper turn.

One likes the feathers where they are. [Ne reaches down to pet the bird promising it that's where they will stay as well.]

[Besides, the thought of eating Hatter's soul? Shudder.]

[The bird gets a soft pat on the beak. Pride or not, manners.]
Odd enough to see at all.
no subject
Not at all. I've experienced this one quite happily numerous times. Whenever Celeste reappears, I'll definitely introduce her to you both.
no subject
And what manner of creature is she?
no subject
She's a orchid mantis - white in color and far larger than her common tropical kin.

[Bird has a point, most of them suck.]
You've been hit by this as well?

[ Also a pretty bird, but Carla's tends to appear a little worse for wear. ]
Some curses are less irritating than others.

[The peacock sits at nir feet, preening its feathers.]
So down. Cursed also or dealing with others?
[Sorry Carla ne was distracted with Karl. And then there was alcohol. Once ne finds out about Alexiel's curse there's going to be another bottle or three.]
no subject
[Which is a lie when it comes out of her mouth 10/10 times.]
I got one of the less irritating ones.

What he said One does believe. A manifestation of the soul in animal form.

Pride.
[Because that is just going to explain everything.]
The mark of One's sin.
no subject
But I wouldn't call it a sin. An inconvenience, perhaps.
