It's been a bad idea ever since Tony first introduced it into their once professional relationship and it doesn't make it any better that it keeps happening, whenever Rhodes feels like he's going insane without it or Tony just wants it.

It was revoked. Captain America died, but he did not really die and the Man of Iron nearly died- but people die and return often, so one cannot put too much stock in those sorts of things- and there was a big fight on Asgard- which was still in Oklahoma- and Old Loki did die and eventually everything returned to a somewhat state of normalcy.
