002 :: Video

[Crowley is sitting outside, based on the background in the video, probably at a sidewalk cafe that's closed for the unseasonable weather. Occasionally a small snow-slide passes behind him - it's possible he's sitting under an umbrella. He's holding a mug with steam drifting up and takes a sip that doesn't fog the sunglasses he still has sitting on his face despite the obvious lack of sun.]

See, now this is what I mean. Blizzards in July. I suppose they aren't so interesting if you're accustomed to living in the southern hemisphere, but I've always been partial to Europe, which makes this a welcome novelty.

Indulge my curiosity, since I've been away a few years - what curses have you experienced in your time in the City? Which ones did you enjoy and which did you hate?

[ooc: He's just collecting information to keep from repeating the deities' efforts if he decides to start messing with people/the City.]

Actually it does. Think about it, the whole Fall started with being told we should revere your kind. The only thing you've got going for you is free will as far as I'm concerned.

Oh. That. I keep forgetting about that bullshit because that actually has nothing to do with the Fall in my world. And duh. We've got free will, we're not really any better than demons or angels. But you know, angels aren't any better than demons or humans, no matter how much they think otherwise. Which some of them do, and it's really annoying.

But when you look at it that way, there's still nothing wrong with being human. Not much of a difference. Just free will.

I don't think you're talking about nappy training, so what does that mean?

Nothing wrong with being human if you're born human, but I wasn't even born and I am perfectly happy being what I am.

I mean I was pissed off. I went from the upper levels of Hell to Heaven on my own, and I'm not really sure how. [Now that he actually got called human, he doesn't want to admit too much. It's a small triumph!]

Nothing wrong with that either, as long as you're happy.

Not right now. The farther away from the 14th century I get, the less bored I am, and I quite like the 20th. I suppose it's the 21st here, but the point stands.

What was so bad about the 14th century? A complete lack of good music and art, plague, and do you know how hard it is to find a decent meal during a famine?

Oh. That's when the plague happened. Yeah, sounds like a really awful time. But here we go plenty of food! And I like the 20th century myself. Though, if we live through everything that's happening, it'll be the 21st soon, back home.

Hell runs into Heaven and you say that it'll all work itself out? Did you have a recent head injury?

With everything that happened? Yeah, probably do have some recent head injuries. But they don't have much choice, do they? And even if it doesn't work out well, it's not really something I'll be able to do anything about.

That depends upon your Top Guy I guess and you say he's a bastard, so good luck to you. Not that I really care. That's another thing I like about the City - it makes me appreciate what I have at home all the more.

Yeah, well, we'll just see how things go when I get back home.

Now that's the kind of fatalism that just makes sense.

She is the reincarnated angel. I'm pretty sure she wanted to stay human and not get mixed up in all of this Heaven and Hell crap. But oh well. We're in it anyway.

I have a... colleague on the other side whose thoughts on this I'd love to hear. I think he might actually want to give it a try. He has bad taste.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Would be hard not to know any angels since you came from Heaven.

But why would he want to give it a try? He likes humans a lot?
