[This curse was certainly one of the better ones Mindy’s seen so far. In fact, it was her opinion it was the best damn one she’s seen so far. City Wide Water Fight? Fuck, yeah. She was so down.

Or, in this case. Up. Up a rather large tree with a stash of water balloons and a few Super Soakers she’d purchased just for today.

And she wasn’t alone. Obviously. She has Serrure with her. The audio picks up her voice, hushed. Only the occasional word coming through. There’s the faint sound of something rustling and something creaking just a bit that drowns out some of her words.]

Serrure....ugly-as-hell business suit....aim for the tie. I got the last one.

[His voice is likewise quiet, a little sly and incredibly self amused-] I shall hit it with a … special balloon. [Because he was entirely incapable of doing anything normally and without some sort of annoyance to the victim.]

I wonder if vampires are allergic to holy water. Surely there is a church we can raid the fonts of...[The casual and distant sound of a water balloon splatting on someone who yelps in surprise and a bit of anger.]


A ‘special balloon’? What’s in it? [Oh, God. That doesn’t sound good. The man starts yelling in the background and Mindy swears, almost laughing. There’s more rustling, a thump and the sound of two pairs of feet running away from the scene.]

I don’t remember seeing a church here. Not that I’ve looked. Run! [They will most likely find another tree to hide in so be warned. They’re armed to the teeth with water balloons and water pistols.]

[ Pepper is doing her best to avoid the melee, but the deities must hate her because she forgot the keys to her office at home, so she was forced to venture outside to go get them.

As she hurries, she looks cautiously all around her, trying to avoid getting hit-- but she forgets to look up. ]

[Oh, Pepper. Mindy will take care of you personally, if only because Serrure probably filled a few spare balloons with soda so...have a water balloon dropped on you from above.

She's just a kid. You can't get too mad, can you?]

[ Pepper lets out a high pitched gasp as she drops her briefcase in shock. She looks up, strands of wet hair falling into her eyes, and sees... that girl, Serrure's friend. ]

...What? Mindy!?

Hi, Pepper! It's dangerous to go out on a day like today!

I'm getting that feeling, yes. [ She shakes off, but it's no use. Her blouse is ruined along with whatever paperwork she was holding. She's starting to think she should maybe resign herself to not getting any work done today. ]

Pepper! You will not survive the war going about unarmed.

I was trying to avoid the "war" altogether, but it looks like that's futile too.

[Look, Korra was just minding her own business, doing her airbending training.

And then this little punk brat went and pelted her with a water balloon.

The young woman stands there, blinking and dripping. And then her eyes light up with an unholy fire.]

[Oh, whoever you are. Mindy likes you. She knows that look very well and, dropping down from the tree, landing with more grace than a kid her size should have, she was ready to go.]

That's the point of today. Lets get to it.

[And with that, she makes a run for one of the nearest buckets. They seemed to refill themselves so Mindy could do this all day. There was one balloon flying at Korra a moment later before Mindy was grabbing for another.]

[Korra chases, forgetting that her heart still hurts at the loss of her waterbending. As the second water balloon hurtles towards her, Korra tries to bend it back at the girl using a waterbending technique. It doesn't work, of course, but it does create a burst of air that sends the balloon heading back towards the kid.

Close enough. She grins.]

[And Mindy ducks. It almost hits her, her reaction delayed from shock but then Hit Girl kicks in. She got this. Another water balloon, hastily followed by a few more and a few shots from the water pistol she kept tucked into the back of her pants and she's still running if only to keep a distance between her and Korra.]

[Crowley is in bit of a mood, having ascertained that neither his Bentley nor his friend acquaintance are still in the City. And there he is, one flash bastard, strolling down the street.]

[Hi, Crowley. You don't mind a pint-sized vigilante running past you while she chases some npc kid her age, firing her water pistol as she goes, do you? Of course you don't. However, the fact that you're not doing anything actually slows her down some and she stops, letting her quarry go.]

You okay? Why aren't you throwing water balloons like everyone else?
