[ Observing the network today is a lesson in ~~every day of Yusuf's life~~ sympathy? Compassion? Something of the sort. ]

I see the network has decided to appreciate the smarter of the two most common household companions. [ And for your viewing pleasure, you can have a shot of Pancake, who is going to town on a nearly empty jar of peanut butter and looking particularly ridiculous while doing so. ] I applaud you all.

[ Not so much "filtered" as loosely addressed to those of you who live in the house of dream criminals- I mean, the house. ]

Who ever has shopping duties this week should be aware that we have no more peanut butter.

Declare handbags? [ You people are so weird. On her shoulder, Waffle chirps once before squawking "lemon!", as if to help prove her point. ]

Pancake? Probably just hyped up. Or waiting for one of us to rub his belly. [ Pause. ] Then again, he's also really easily distracted.

[ A small grin at her tone. ] Well we should be hoping its not more than that- he doesn't take well to house arrest.

[ The force of gravity on Pancake's face is causing the whites of his eyes and the tips of his teeth to show- upside down corgi is somehow more amusing than right-side up corgi... ] Easily entertained too...

[ Grinning right back, the brat. ] No, but at least he got out of the last one through you burning down the apartment.

Well, he is a dog. [ She'd bend down to rub his belly herself if Waffle weren't on her shoulder. ]

Yeah. I guess he made Rhodey the CEO. I'll be in tomorrow trying to get everything settled -- we've lost a lot of the staff this past month. [ So you know Yusuf, if you want to bring her coffee or something... ]

The law enforcement here was surprisingly lenient about that. [ A small blush-- GOSH ARIADNE HE'S SENSITIVE ABOUT THAT :c ]

Not to say that a frayed ribbon isn't the worlds most threatening force to ours. [ Wouldn't Waffle just crawl onto her back or latch himself onto her hair? (Birds are weird and not Yusuf's thing.) ]

So I see. Honestly I am about ready to get Eames in to forge half my paperwork since I can never get my reinstallment forms to reach the right people. [ Not that he doesn't have work to do... but he could. ]

They probably forgot, everyone else was forgetting things that day. Besides, it's not like they have a jail around here. [ c: ~~and here gadgets stops herself from saying something inappropriate about yusuf blushing HAHA keeping things PG...~~ ]

Or a sock. [ No, he'd probably try to sit on Pancake. Because like Pancake, Waffle is sometimes a bit of an idiot. ]

If there's forms to fill out, hand them to me. I'll take care of it. [ Perks of being a department head. ] And I like you more than I like most of my staff, so don't worry about it.

Which is actually quite strange... [ Considering in their own world, they would all be tried in a criminal court of law- if most of them even got that kind of judicial courtesy. ]

Speaking of which, I believe someone gifted me one of yours this morning. [ Offhanded, more a reminder to himself to give it back to her next time he's in the basement and not lounging in the living room. ]

That's reassuring. [ Ah, now Yusuf understands why she seems particularly happy on days she's working in heavy boots and grease-stained shirts, as opposed to her cardigan and neckerchief days. ] Is it because I stay out of your hair? [ ~~Well... mostly... at least at work...~~ ]

I try not to think about it too much. Besides, what sort of prison could hold in a vampire, you know? [ No really, she wants to see that kind of prison. ]

I'll have to get that back from you. [ There's a bit of a smile there. She likes the basement; it's one of the parts of the house with the most personality. ]

I've never caught you watching porn while you're on the clock. I think Tony had a video of their reactions when I showed up behind them saved, actually.

One with... holy water sprinkled around it? [ The skepticism in his voice, can you hear it? He shrugs, vampires not really being his problem. ] I guess they would have to get creative.

If only they could learn which socks went where, then I could leave the hamper out and they could go to town.

[ UHHHH......... ] That is.. ah, probably ill-advised around corrosive chemicals... so, no worries there.

[ Vampires are her problem far more frequently than necessary, but she just nods. ]

It could be possible to convince them. I mean, some cats know how to use the toilet.

Yeah, I kind of figured. Of course, it's probably ill-advised around heavy machinery, too, but that didn't stop them from watching Bikini Babes 5 or whatever.

I suppose they are relatively adaptable, [ Yusuf concedes, ] considering they get on well enough with a dog and a bird in the same house.

Honestly this is an entirely new level of distressing. Is this why the Purell hand pumps were installed??

I'm not always sure Pancake counts as a dog. He's a bit more like a small child. [ Who... licks his own butt. ]

They didn't have anything out. [ SUDDEN HORRIFIED LOOK ]

He does have Arthur's eyes. [ We're not... even going there. ]

[ ~~Why would someone watch porn without the intention to... never mind.~~ ] Good, then I am going to continue under the assumption that those were placed around for the continued good health of Stark Industry's employees.

He clearly didn't get Arthur's brains.

Jury's out on where the desire for belly-rubs comes from.
