Now this is remarkable. I've been made to understand that this is a regular event around here, this sudden seemingly free influx of unexpected visitors. One with a limited timespan as well, from my understanding. Which means it is vital to make the most of this research opportunity while it's presented itself.

Certainly somewhere there must be some indication as to the manner of the connection between this dimension and others - more apparent now than typically - and how it has been possible for those of us whose stays here are somewhat less transitory to find ourselves achieving transdimensional passage to begin with...

[And his voice trails off as he gets distracted by planning his research. The connection goes quiet for a few moments before it cuts off.]

My colleagues have done some work in the field, and I once had an excellent professor who was certain he'd unravel the secrets of time travel.

[And oh, Doc, do you ever remind him of the old man. Which isn't necessarily a good thing.]

Of course, the real problem with any variety of displacement is harnessing the massive amounts of energy necessary to achieve it.
