Now this is remarkable. I've been made to understand that this is a regular event around here, this sudden seemingly free influx of unexpected visitors. One with a limited timespan as well, from my understanding. Which means it is vital to make the most of this research opportunity while it's presented itself.

Certainly somewhere there must be some indication as to the manner of the connection between this dimension and others - more apparent now than typically - and how it has been possible for those of us whose stays here are somewhat less transitory to find ourselves achieving transdimensional passage to begin with...

[And his voice trails off as he gets distracted by planning his research. The connection goes quiet for a few moments before it cuts off.]

Do you have any hypotheses in regards to the connection?

I can't say I've collected enough data on the methods used by those that seem to be managing this particular dimension to make a hypothesis at this point. I certainly have some theories involving my own arrival, but given that it's an isolated combination of circumstances, I doubt that it has much bearing on the interdimensional connections that are typically utilized in achieving passage here.

Isolated combination of circumstances? [ Stare. ] What do you mean?

My arrival was apparently unique in that I came here in a vehicle - and that, unlike most of the others I have spoken with, I have an as-yet untested theory as to what may have caused me to achieve travel across dimensional barriers.

What sort of vehicle can... cross dimensions?

[what_the_flux]

Well, it is an experimental vehicle, though it was not originally intended for interdimensional transit. It was, however, struck by a bolt of lightning immediately prior to my arrival here, which I suspect may have caused an overload in the circuitry that made it possible to cross into an alternate dimension.

So it was all coincidence.

Do you think you could replicate it?

Precisely; circumstances that managed to align in a particular way through a series of unplanned events.

I am working towards attempting that, though it suffered a good deal of damage upon its arrival in this dimension. I'm afraid that's going to take a bit of time, of course.
