... is this—oh, alright, it is.

[The voice may be familiar to many, and the face in essence too, but as Ginny Weasley leans back from the camera to address the network, it might be clear to those who know her that she's different today. For one, she's wearing her Gryffindor uniform, all robes and tie and cardigan. For another, she's younger and thinner—almost drawn, and though her eyes are as quick and bright as ever, they carry a wariness and weariness that haven't been present in years. Her hair is still long, though shorter than she's been wearing it in the City, and there's no mistaking the still-healing split lip or faded bruising along her cheekbone and eye.

None of this seems to bother the witch at the moment, though. There are more important matters to attend to.]

Hullo. I seem to have taken a wrong turn at school—not unusual, really, the stairs like to play tricks—but I was on my way to a classroom and ended up in this, er, charming place. And while I'm terribly fond of London, I know this isn't it; and honestly, I'm running late as it is.

[There's a hardness in her jaw and in her tone that the City softened long ago, but she isn't demanding answers like she had the moment she 'arrived.' She has her bearings, now. To an extent. She pauses, then smiles, shaking off the very real irritation for a more charming façade; come, now, help the innocent school girl find her way home.]

Hardly back a month from holidays and I've already got loads of things to do! I'm not usually late, you know. I don't mind missing a few minutes of Professor Carrows' class, for example— [She chuckles, shrugging.] —but I'm sort of in charge of this meeting and they're all fairly useless without me. I've read a guide, of course, but I don't exactly trust everything I read nowadays.

[OOC; ginny's been hit with Feels Like the First Time! she's back to being 16 years old and for her, it's february of 1998, so she's still at hogwarts and helping neville lead the DA and causing general havoc with the student's rebellion.

[P A U S E.

And then a snort of laughter.]

You're having me on.

[A shrug.]

That's my name, anyway, and I just happen to know a certain prat Crown Prince Arthur very well.

[Merlin, she will kill you later for just tossing this in her face. Really. Because the way her jaw drops? Actually very undignified and she will hate it later, as well as everything else about to spill out of her mouth. Because, you see, Ginny three years from now is used to famous faces passing through this place; this one, not so much.]

Are you taking the mickey?

[She pauses.]

You aren't, are you? No bloody way. They've got Merlin here? Sodding Merlin. What're you doing here.

[But it's so much fun, he can't possibly resist. And he's laughing, a lot, though trying to suppress it some.]

Nothing in particular. Things are sort of on hold until I get back, and all.

[Her cheeks flood with colour and she glances away, but with the way she's biting down on her lip to hold back a sheepish smile, it's clear she isn't entirely horrified. She thought she'd be able to hold herself together after getting over Harry's ~fame~ as a child, but. Nope.]

Oh, shut it.

[She just told Merlin to shut it. Really? Well, she is Ginny Weasley.]

What—er, what d'you mean, on hold? It's that time thing, I suppose. It's true?

[And that is sort of all kinds of precious.]

It is. As far as Arthur remembers, the last two years or so of my life haven't happened yet.

[Call her precious to her face, Merlin. Go on, try it. 8| ]

There's that much of a difference? Bloody hell.

[Nah, he thinks not.]

Yeah. It's a little strange.

[She falls into a silence, less quietly thoughtful than how she usually is and far more—caged. Shutters behind her eyes, gaze lowering and going inward, somehow, because Ginny of three years ago closes herself off far more quickly and easily than her counterpart here. There's more at stake at home; at home, where she should be, where she'd been about to handle a meeting for their next plan of action under the Carrows' rule.]

So... [She pauses, carefully.] So things at home—I'm not missing anything, right? It's not continuing on without me.

I'm pretty sure it's not, and I think everyone's who's been here a decent amount of time would confirm it.

At least, Arthur was never gone a couple of months two years ago, so I think that ought to confirm it.

[She turns that over in her mind for a few long seconds then smiles again, leaning back from the camera.]

That's reassuring. Thank you, Merlin.

[Said with a little less love and a little more coolness; not distaste, but she's not exactly sure what to make of seeing Percy again.]

You don't sound very happy about it.

[Immediately, she laughs, waving a hand airily.]

He's practically ancient and boring and works for the government and I'm his baby sister.

[None of that is the problem. Well. Maybe the government bit.]

What d'you think?

[...welp.

He snorts a laughter and shakes his head.]

I think I can imagine.

[Look, Merlin. No hard feelings. She is a very good liar when she needs to be. 8| ]

So there you have it. It's not that I'm not happy about it. It's just—weird.

[He's not fully sure what to think of it, but it makes enough sense?]

Guess everything is a little weird about this.

What, this place or—

[JOKING. But how right is she.]

[Oh, Ginny, how right you are. That more than anything is the reason he laughs again.]

I talk with a bunch of people who seem to be from the future or something and know my name.

I do mean everything.

Well, you've just got to get used to it somehow, right? Though I suppose there isn't really a way to get used to a place that sounds as mad as this.

[She tuts under her breath.]

I know I couldn't. But the guide says that isn't up to me. No one's found an exit?

[Well. Not completely used to it anyway...]

Not aside from the barrier, and supposedly there's monsters behind that one. I don't know if you could really get anywhere either.

Rubbish. There's always a way out. Have faith, Merlin, we'll manage and be home well before supper.

That's awfully optimistic of you.

[He hardly means it in a bad or mocking way or anything, though.]
